Chapter 3
Charlene's pov
" Mum what,why did you scream?" I asked her.
"Why is your body smelling like a raw egg,I can perceive it," she said.
"Mum,is the cream that I newly bought that smells like that" I quickly lied.
"No!!! This is not about cream,I know what I am talking about…. your body is really smelly, `` she said.
"Mum don't worry,let me go and quickly bathe" I replied.
"Okay!! Bathe quickly,I will be waiting for you" she said.
"Ok mum" I replied.
I quickly drew out the cloth from where I kept it and washed them quickly,after I finished washing them I bathed again.
I spent almost One hour in the bathroom before my body didn't smell again,but I was still perceiving it a little bit from the room.
After I finished bathing,I sprayed perfume and searched my bag for another clothe to where,...I finally saw an old Jean trousers with a top which my grandmother bought for me before she died.
I really love my grandmother,she always gives me hope everyday before she dies.
I wore my clothes and opened my room window, and carried my clothes so I could spread it on my way outside.
After I finished spreading the clothes I met mum in the kitchen she was dishing out food.
"This is the only food left in the pot,we would both manage it" she said while dishing out the food.
I collected the food from her hand and quickly eat.I was about to leave the house when I thought of what those guys did to me earlier ... .I pray they don't come back.
I left the house …..
"Where am I even going to,I don't even have a destination" I thought as I started walking.
But something caught my attention,I saw a very handsome guy,he looked so handsome that I could not stop drooling at him.
The boy was f*cking handsome that I felt like walking up to him.
"How,I wish he would walk up to me now, and ask me to be his girlfriend" I thought.
But it can't be possible, this is not my first time drooling over a handsome guy,but they have never for once looked at me before, all they did was to laugh at me.
Before I knew it,he walked past me and I didn't see him again.
I walked for a long time before I finally saw that a restaurant needed a sales girl.
"Can I work in a restaurant??" I thought and said to myself.
"It was bread that I was selling before they said I was chasing their customers,if I now work in a restaurant what would happen" I thought.
I wanted to enter the restaurant but I decided to turn back so I could look for another job somewhere else.
I searched and searched for a long while but there was no other job,I walked for a long time ... .my legs were now hurting me already.
So I decided to turn back, maybe I would go for the restaurant to try my luck...even though it is a little bit far from my house.
Immediately I got there that was when I knew that the restaurant is a very big one and beautiful is not just for poor people,big cars were parked outside the restaurant...I wanted to turn back again but I couldn't,I know if I didn't get the job,it would be a great problem for me and my mum,I just pray they employ me.
When I entered I wanted to fall because all eyes were on me, and I really hated it...so many people were just laughing silently.
I met a girl who was attending to a customer, because she was the only one that looked friendly to me….all the remaining workers were just laughing.
"Hi!!" I said to her after she finished serving the customers.
"Hi" she replied and I didn't know when I smiled.
"Wow,she really replied to me," I thought.
"Please I am looking for a job,I saw that there is a vacancy here outside" I said.
"Yes,"she said and nodded.
When the others that were laughing heard what I said,they were just laughing the more.
"Why are you ugly??" one asked.
I didn't reply to her,I just kept quiet.
"Don't mind her,let me take you to the manager" she said and I followed her.
Immediately we got to the manager's office,the girl narrated everything to her.
"Are you stupid Khloe" The manager asked her.
"I think you are tired of your job," the woman said.
"Ma please!!! I am not tired" she replied.
"Ma please" I begged also.
"You are a fool!! Am I talking to you,you ugly thing??" she asked me.
"No ma, please just leave her,I am the one that begged her to take me to you" I replied to her.
"Okay!!! Miss what can I do for you??" she asked.
"Ma, like she had explained earlier I really need this job ma" I said and knelt down.
"Did you check yourself in the mirror before coming here?" She asked.
"Yes ma!!" I replied.
"What did you see?" she asked me..
"Nothing ma??" I replied to her..
"I know!! A witch like you can not see that something is wrong with them" she said.
"Ma please!!" I begged and started crying.
" I can't employ a masquerade here,Now get out!!!" She screamed.
