“What the hell are you saying?” he mumbled in a horrified voice, staring at me with bulging eyes like I had suddenly transformed into a ghost. That was surely something he hadn’t seen coming. Something in my blue eyes must have told him how serious I was because he jumped off me like I was burning coals. Unheeded of his semi-nude state, he marched away with hands on his face, and they traveled to his disheveled hair in abject shock.
