BIG GIRL AND SCATTERED CLOUDS

"Why are you guys looking at me weird.Haven't you ever seen a girl up early?," Ally shouted.That morning she seemed relaxed and so sure of her self. My first instinct was to look at my watch just to be sure.It was a few minutes past 4:00 am." Your Alarm is not until fifty minutes in the future Ally.What happened did John play the music too loud? is Nandi snoring again?," I was asking innocently as I didn't want her to feel awkward about going back to bed.She had never, and I mean, never woken up with the first or second Alarm leave alone before the alarm went off.That was a first.

The way she looked at me I knew she was not pleased with my questions.I just shut up and went to the kitchen to act busy even though I was not doing anything really.It was training time and I was not allowed into the training room yet.I stayed back with Phanu waiting for the group to walk out so we could go full blow on the books looking for some answers.We had exchanged Ally's sketch book with a new one.We hoped to God she had not looked at it yet.She would have freaked out.

The fact that she had seen her boyfriend in her dreams with the face of a magix she had just sketched out of a nightmare would worry her sick.I tried to push a bad thought about the Alex guy off my head but I was doing a crappy job of it.Maybe Ally was not confusing anything.Maybe his boyfriend was a beast.The thought was scary but if there was something I had learned from all the years here on earth, it that an open mind was key to everything.Things were not always what they sewmed to be.

When I was sure all the people were out in training and Nandi was out making the world a better place, I asked Phanu to roll with the books.I went to Ally's room and went through her school bag.I knew she liked Alex more than she cared to admit.I figured she had written things about him and maybe there was something that would help me trace him.A bad idea.If she found out she would be passed and maybe even hate me for that.I had to do my crap in absolute secret.I could let anyone in.

I ransacked through her things until I found what I was looking for.A tiny diary that held all her inward fantasies and dreamed.I looked through and at first their seemed to be no details about Alex.I was about to call it a good try when I came a across the names at the center page of the diary.She really had an insane crush on this young man.His full names were Alex Sinclair.From their I could dig around for his details, know who his parents were and how long he had been around.One thing I knew about Magix, is that they were not around until a few years ago when the wall between our world and the Magix dimension collapsed and now they were slowly spilling into ours.If Alex was one of them it would be hard to find his history from before three years ago.Then I would know.

I took snapped the details on the diary and returned it where I had found it.I tried my best to put back everything where they were before.I had to make sure there was no way Ally could suspect I was going through her stuff.I went straight to my computer and started to follow up on Alex's social media accounts.As i hoped, there was nothing weird or different about him.He even had a photo of before meet afters from when he was about five years old and from when he turned sixteen.I had just wasted half an hour chasing nothing when I should have gone through a few more books.

Without a word, I joined Phanu at the study table and started on some books.I had gone through over twenty books with my angel powers when Phanu exclaimed that she was through.We had gone through all the books in the bunker but we found nothing.There was no magix that was even remotely close to what Ally had on her sketch book.If people around hadn't claimed to have seen it, If the dogs around were not being found dead every day, I would have just assumed Ally was just having nightmares.I was sure I had documented every magix cleature I knew existed.I had looked around and with the help of a few Magix and the elements we had come up with books explaining each Magix.The only one I left out was Ophie and that was deliberate and planned.Maybe someone was out there creating new Magix creatures.

Up to that point, we were out of answers and we planed on turning to the elements, maybe they knew something we didn't.I took a picture of the creature from Ally's sketch book just in case I found something helpful.The crowd was by then leaving training room and that meant we had to clear up.We had planned to keep Ally in the dark as we did not want to give her a reason to ruin her prom night.We therefore cleared the books and hid the sketch book.We pretended to be having some sort of a fight so Ally could not suspect.We were not yet known to get a long as we still carried some of our past baggage with us.We were still a bit competitive and we still fought over stupid things.If Ally found us calm, she could have suspected something was going on and we would be forced to explain everything to her.

Breakfast was pretty much as usual, Duke had an fight with the bunker over his snoring, Geo had a problems with Miss Griffin over training gloves, Tom was mad about not being able to adjust the Ring Ping machine.The magic door crap was also going south and he was more than just frustrated.Ophie was as usual trying to get Ally off his tail which she was pinching and arguing with herself whether it was a bit more squishy than the previous week or whether it was the same way.Ophie loved to transform right after training now that everyone was comfortable with it.Ally especially loved it.

After breakfast we all prepared for our last day of school.All we had to do was present out final year project and wait for a graduation date.I still could not believe four years had passed by.Two of which we never went home and we knew our parents were probably mad about it but we didn't care all that much.We knew we were out helping the world be a better place and there were no apologies needed for that.Ally still had a week, and then the prom night and she would be done with highschool.We knew she was going places academic wise.We hoped she would make it to her dream university which was of course Harvard.She had what it took and and I planned to do everything in my power to make sure of it.

The flight to school was a short and quiet one.Ally could not wait to get to see her boyfriend, she was a bit nervous about the second date as she feared she would screw it up.We had tried to encourage and assure her it was going to be fine but she was not yet satisfied.She had my permission to stay off late but she needed to be back at the bunker before seven.That meant I would have to stay out late waiting for her.I planned to give the two some alone time and I planned to hang out with the club members.We had to prepare the end of year party and probably choose a new leader as my time was over.I made Ally promise to keep time right before we parted ways and she did.I trusted her to keep her promise.Me and the boys watched her disappear to the horizon before heading to school.I could tell Tom and John were nervous.There was nothing I could do to help and I decided to ignore them instead.

"Soo, how did your project presentation go boys?," I asked.I still couldn't fully account for time.The day had gone by so fast.It was evening already.The boys as usual answered in words as short as possible.I had to take them home and be back before the club meeting started.That was not a hard task and in no time I was out giving my final speech and choosing a leader.I choose Bella, second year who had show all the qualities I thought were perfect for the groups next leader.We had a few minutes chat and then I left them to the overnight party.My work there was done and even though it was hard to say goodbye, I knew I had to.

I had to walk all the way to the cafe where Alex and Ally were supposed to meet.I got there two minutes to seven and I found disappointed Ally seated all by herself.I stood by the door for a few minutes trying to figure out what to say before I got to her.Someone pushed me and I walked in just as Azzy was getting up to leave." You bastard, you should have just asked me instead of going through my things and stalking my boyfriend online.I knew you were not happy for me from the word go.I hate you so much Azzy," everybody in the hotel turned towards me."How the hell did he even know?," I asked out loud.Ally just looked at me angrily and stormed out of the room, almost knocking down and old lady on her angry exit.

I turned back to follow her, I could feel the angry and confused looks burning on my skin." She is a tough one, but just give her sometime and she will understand why you had to do it," the old lady told me.I thanked her and walked out of the cafe.I followed angry Ally and when I eventually caught up with her, I just kept walking besides her but I never said anything.The last thing I wanted was for her to go full brast crazy on me.She agreed to go back with me back to the bunker, but she also made it clear that she didn't want to hear me saying a word to her.She also didn't fail to remind me that she was mad and that I ruined her prom and her life.I apologized, not that she could listen to me or forgive me.I felt bad for her and even much so knowing I was the one to blame even though I had pure intentions and a good reason and explanation.

At the bunker, everyone took turns to scold me.Some of them didn't care to hide their disappointment in me.I felt bad and decided to make things right.The judgment was too harsh for me to bare.For a moment I remembered that I had done something similar to Nala when I left without notifying her.I understood then why she never called or texted me even after finding my note and number.I had to be the worst possible being to exist.I thought the only way to make it up to her was by talking to Alex and make him understand it was not her fault.I left the bunker without telling anyone.I never even answered their questions or gave an explanation.I just flew away.

Phanu never bothered to follow me as she figured I was trying to get away from her and all the others.I had seen Alex's address, I knew her mother was out of town for two weeks.She was a history professor and she had taken an educational tour with some of her students to Israel.His father was a soldier and that meant he was away most of the time.Alex was a big boy who didn't need a babysitter and he was home alone.I walked up to the front door and was about to ring the door bell when I heard cry like noises from the inside,I figured he was heartbroken and decided to use angel vision to spy on him first. What I saw however had me second guessing my first thought and I just used my angel powers to unlock the door.I went straight to Alex's room which was also locked from the inside, ones again I used my angelic power to open it and then I was witnessing everything from a close up distance.

"Please...please, just get out of here before I hurt you," Alex said.I could tell he was in pain from the way he was rolling on the floor.He had his teeth clenched hard and so were his fists.The chains on his legs were hurting him but he didn't seem to notice or feel the pain.I didn't know what else to do with him and I just cut off the chains and took him back to the bunker, there I tied him up with much stronger chains before alarting the other." What the hell did you do to him now?," Ally asked in a furious tone and before I could answer she slapped hard on the face.

Alex tried to explain something but before he could the transformation started.In only a few seconds, Alex turned into the crearure in Ally's books and the chains I had tied him up with broke.I could tell he was trying his very best to resist the urge to kill but he was constantly failing.Together with Phanu we held him back and held him by the wall using my binding power.He was secure for the moment but we needed to know what he was and how to deal with it before the human part of me took over and weakened the power that was holding him.

We came up with all the thoughts we could gather.At first we argued the real Alex was dead and whoever was in the next room was an imposter then we thought maybe Alex was turned Into so e sort of warewolf we had not known about yet.He looked more of human- dog hybrid than a wolf.We also had a book about warewolfs and non of them looked like the one he had turned into.Duke was still out with the elements and we hoped he would be back with some news at least.At the moment, we decided to sort dinner first and think with full stomachs. Looking at my watch, it was just a few minutes past midnight.

We were only halfway through dinner when Duke called and the nobody seemed to like where the conversation was headed.

Duke: Hey guys, I wouldn't be able to get back tonight so I thought I should call and tell you guys what I found it, it will blow your minds.

Ophie: So what did you find and where are you calling from.

Duke: I don't even know where I am but I am calling from a pay phone...Anyway, the creature you are looking for is not a creature after all...it is a curse spirit which according to the elements, can only be pulled by a very powerful witch or wizard.It is known as a Rougarou.

Ally: So, how do we deal with it and please tell me it's not by killing the host.

Duke: No, if you kill the host, the spirit will jump to another person.There are two ways to get rid of it, one is by asking the witch or wizard who did it to lift the curse or two ,kill the witch or wizard that way the curse dies with them.Also, sorry to say this Ally but the elements said that Alex its Alex and his grandmother is the witch who did all that.FYI, she is not his grandmother, she killed her and took her face.

Ally: Good to know about the grandmother but we already knew Alex was it.

Ally then hung up the phone and looked around at each and everyone left us but could not look at me.I never even noticed it as I was busy trying to process everything Duke had just said."I Can't believe we are about to deal with yet another witch," I said out loud.Everyone smiled and I found their smiles offensive." Yeah maybe you should seat this one out.We have Phanu and she can always step in," Ophie said."Wait did she get heated by witch? or is it something worse?," Phanu asked.Laughter followes and then Tom answered." Definitely something worse...and trust me you don't want to know,"

I opted to stay back at the bunker while they went out to confront the witch.I never even asked how the encounter went and i was not even remotely curious.All I knew was that the spirit was dead and Alex was back to being Alex.I hated witches with all my heart and even a thought of them made me sick to the stomach.The group made fun of me in a way that Phanu could not understand and I hated it but that was not the case as we had bigger problems to deal with.We had just shown Alex our world and now we had to explain it to him.A tough job we left to Ally.By the time they were done it was morning and the two had exams to do.Phanu flew them to school as Ally was still too afraid to face me after the slap.

The rest of us went to bed and both breakfast and training were canceled.I walked to my bedroom still remembering the events from three years earlier and which I had tried to bury ever since.My moods were all over the place and when I closed my eyes, i saw the sky as it was the day I killed the witch, they were almost clear but there were a few clouds scattered across the sky one of which looked like the frowny face emoji on my phone.I cursed under my breath.
