THE FIRST HUNT

That night I had the best time.It was our first stay as house mates.Even though our rooms were way far apart, we had common rooms and we were to stay together for the rest of our stay there.That night I watched the boys fight over my "selfishness" due to the masters bedroom.I also listened to them play music with Tom.playing the guitar and John playing the piano.This house had everything we ever dreamed of.First was the music instruments for the boys.The could play whenever they wanted and whatever the hell they felt like playing.The house was huge enough soo neighbors could not come knocking asking them to keep it down.As for me it was the books, even though then I could read all of them in one seating, just having them around felt good.I loved the fact that around the two gentlemen, even my angelic strength couldn't stop me from feeling things.It was almost as if I was growing a conscience slowly but surely and I loved it.At around midnight however the boys got tired and sleepy.We deed one last song by Ed Sheeran and called it a night.I however waited for them to go to bed before doing the same.

Immediately after they were gone, I went upstairs to my bedroom and changed into much dark clothes.I then flew off to see Alice.When I got to her cell, she was standing by the bars.She was still sleeping but I could tell she was trying to get somewhere.Slowly I opened her cell and flew her outside.I then let her go and I followed.I figured she would take me to where another murder was about to happen.The police pathologist had earlier confirmed that the three murders were committed by one person.If I could prove that person wasn't Alice, then she could be set free to take us to where it all began.She kept walking and I kept following.Listening around on death radio to see if anyones death date had moved up unexpectedly.At the moment I couldn't pick up any and I just kept on going.we had walked for about a mile when she stopped and took cover behind a trash can.I went invisible and then I could smell death.The death of over seven people.I also saw someone's death book open up and his death moved all the way from seventy years three months, two days ten hours and fifteen seconds down to twenty three years six months, eight days and two seconds."That is a crazy jump," I thought.

I heard an argument, then a slight scream.I rushed towards the source of the noise and I got there just as the killer was about to stab a young guy.I hit him on the back before showing myself.It was a bad move but I had to make it.I liked Alice because of her untainted heart.I couldn't let her go to prison for something she was only trying to stop.I took off his mask and let the young lad take a picture.I then told him I was his guardian angel and instructed him to go to the police immediately.I then went back to where Alice was and I found her completely asleep.I airlifted her back to the station and placed her back in the bed.I locked her cell, returned the keys to the guard who was still asleep at the desk and left.Eight hours from then Alice was released free of all charges.Ready to help us find the god who gave her the ability.

After leaving her at the station I went back to the house and lay on the bed for the rest of the night.I the morning I got up, prepare breakfast and woke the boys up.It was on a thursday and they both had early morning classes, and so did I.If we were to keep up on all the plans that we had, we had to learn to create time.That was the reason as to why we changed our learning program to early classes.Our three daily classes were placed in between six and twelve noon.No breaks in between.It was a crazy time table for the boys to follow and i felt for them.However, I didn't force them to do it.They chose it all by themselves and they were willing to keep up with it.

By the time classes were over I had fazed off uncountable time.It made me wonder just how much the boys were going through.We met after the lessons and went to the cafe where they had lunch and then we were off to the bunker.There Duke and Ophie were ready waiting for us.It was finally time.This was to be our first hunt all together.Few years later after a huge struggle we would look back and call it our first official hunt.

I took Duke and John first.With time they had grown a weird bond that I was still yet to define.Then it was Ophie and Tom.The two had also grown a crazy bond.I was the only one who had no one to hold on to.We got there just as Alice was walking home from the station.Nobody had come for her since non of them was willing to pick up her call.Her world was little and sad.She cursed the ability she had every time she thought about it.She was also however glad it had shown her who her real friends were.It was soo hard for her to realize she did not have any.Not even her own family.

We picked her up and the rest of the way up to the forest I explained to her about myself and to the others how I had proven her innocence.She had no idea as to what happened the previous night and she was as surprised as them.The remaining way we discussed on how to devide and conquer.We were walking into one hell of hunt, even the awkward silence between us spoke volumes.Alice had a bond with the god.With enough concentration, she could lead us to him.We followed her lead.

We walked miles and miles inside the forest but soo far we had no hint on the creature.All we could hear were the sounds of bad and trees moving with the wind.For a moment I thought the girl did not know what she was doing.The others were also starting to doubt.But then Ophie stopped.He sniffed a little and then moved forward a few steps."Step back !," he shouted just as the weird looking being appeared with its horn ready to attack.I saw it coming and I rushed infront of Ophie who in the attempt to warn is was caught on its was.

I felt the horn hit hard on me and within no time I was flying mid air.I hit a tree that was behind me and it fell.Dropping three others and breaking a few more as it fell.I dropped down head first and my head made a tiny crater where I hit.I lay there for a moment wondering what that kind of a throw and fall would have done to Ophie.I then sat up slowly and looked at everyone.They were standing with their mouths open.All except John."That was hot as hell," he said amidst his honest but somewhat snorty laughter.We all looked at him and in his attempt to stop himself he laughed even more making everybody to join in.We all laughed for a while.

All that while the creature was standing there confused.It made a deep roar and we all came back to the moment.I got up, brushed the dust and walked towards it."We came in peace," I started.Before I could make my second sentence, the creature brought down its horns ready to hit me again.This time I caught it mid air and threw it to a tree.The tree dropped with a thud.It got up and came at me with full strength.Its claws spread out sharp ready to slash.Alice walked up and stood in front me and before I could get her away the creature stopped and stood back a few steps away.

It looked at her with a cold but calm expression.She lifted her arm and asked if to listen to what I had to say.It took ments to compile myself but when I deed I went straight to explaining."We need you to take back the gift you gave her.I as much as it is a good gift, it is putting her into unnecessary trouble," I explained.The creature however just looked at me and then at her and started to drag its leg on the ground.Alice however lifted her arm and it stopped."I can't ," it answered."Can't or won't," Duke asked in what I could hint as anger.The creature at that moment cooled down and made a few steps towards Duke.Ophie walked closer to Duke, John followed, Tom took a few steps away, and took his hands out of his pocket.He was more of a plan first attack later kind of guy.

"Once I have given a power I can't take back.Not because I chose to but simply because I can't.What trouble is the ability causing you?," he asked.Walking closer to her and holding her shoulders.She didn't move or anything.She just stood there and looked at it dead in the eye.She explained everything and the creature held her shoulder briefly before stepping away."It will not happen again little one," He said.He then walked back and stood a few steps from me."It was the only way I could get your attention," he continued.By then he had all my attention and that of my friends.He started walking and he told us to follow him which we deed without question or protest.

We walked for a while and then he stopped.We also stopped behind him ready for a fight.There was a huge tree next to him.He reached out, put his hand through the tree and came out with his red shiny heart.He gave it to Alice and bowed down a little.For a moment I stood there curious about his next move.I smelled death."Give it to whoever you think would keep it safe between them," Alice looked at all of us each at a time.She then looked down at the heart which was beating calmly on her arms.She then walked up to Tom and gave it to him.

The creature moved forward towards Tom and knelt down."Master," it called out.We were all surprised."I thought you were a god or something?,"John asked.The creature then went on to explain that long ago the people worshiped it, but that was not what it wanted.It was going around looking for a master.Someone who could give it directions and tell it when to and when not to.It is attracted by the brightest shining souls and feeds on the joy of a good deeds.I never hurt anyone and it dwelt where happiness prevailed.Whoever had its heart could control it and that was the reason why it could hide it away until it found that one person.

Tom walked forward in an attempt to thank the creature."wow you are huge," he said instead.He always made crazy remarks when he was nervous."And squishy," the creature answered.That was how the name Squishy was born and we called the creature squishy ever since.We watched his slowly turn to human.The horns vanished and soo did the tail and the hooves.He turned to a handsome young man and he was no longer scary.

As we walked from the forest, Squishy told me that he had looked for me for some time.He tried to look for someone who could help him seeing to it that he could not just walk out of the forest and walk around.He could change his body to that of a human but only if he had a master.Now he had one and he could enjoy being human.He had a long and painful story to tell about the Magix world.We listened in anguish as he told it.He explained that on the other side he was a prisoner.He and of course the other powerful magix who meant no harm to anybody.

The soo called founder of the magix were trying to build an army strong enough to wipe the entire human race.The wanted dear earth to themselves.Their reason for wanting to do all that was because they believed humans don't deserve it.The called them the destroyers.The things they accused them of, of course most of them were not just accusations but earth was meant for normal beings who relied on the magic of the elements but not their own.Imagine a world where one person was powerful enough to control rain, or air.They would rule the world with fire and brimstone.Squishy freed himself and few others through a rift that formed right at the center of the prison cell.It closed right after due to the power of the elements but according to him it was growing weaker by the moment.Soon there would be nothing holding the magix back and they would spill like a bad omen in the world.Ophie had told me earlier that he could smell magic in the air.I now squishy was saying the same thing.

After we got out of the woods, Alice made a request.She wanted to go with us.We were not ready to add little girls who were supposed to be in school out there into a dangerous world of monsters and for that I said no and all members of the group joined me.She however explained to us that her life was already full of monsters.She told us that her friends and family were treating her like a bad omen and she thought she needed to get away from them.She was so convincing and at a certain point we made a deal.If she went back home and she was mistreated or shanned in the next twenty four hours, I would take her with me back to the bunker, if not she had to stay at home with her family.She agreed and after I took all the others including squishy back home I came back to her.I made myself invisible and followed her home.

It all started when her parents first saw her.Her father walked into the house and went to the bedroom.Her mother also pretended to be busy.Slowly she walked towards her and saluted her with respect, but the mother just kept quiet.She walked to the house and there was no one except for his father who had himself hidden in his bedroom.They feared her.There was a note by the fridge in the kitchen that said " your food is in the wooden bowl on the counter, please don't touch anything else," with tears she looked at the bowl a tear trickled from her eye into the ugly looking bowl.She knew what they were trying to do.According to her people, wooden bowls were used by witches and wizards.Her parents were simply and plainly calling her a witch.She went to her bedroom which she shared with her three years older sister.There was a line of salt dividing the room into two half's.I figured the family was either teasing or pranking her, but they weren't.I just came out of the shadows and asked her to park.They never saw her leave and I bet they also added vanishing to their list.In just one day we had two powerful members.One with the strength of a got and the other with the power to see through time.
