ONCE UPON A HEARTBREAKER

THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM

I went upto up my locker took the books that I would require for my first class and hurried up cause I was already 5 minutes late due to the previous 'moment'.

As soon as I enetered the room the whole class watched me like I was some alien from a different planet rather than a late student.

'Well welcome to class Ms.Jones. May I know the reason of your delay?' inquired Mr. William, our Shakespeare looking Englisg teacher.

'I u-um-I mi-missed the bus today?'

It sounded more like question than an answer but who cares. He bought it anyway.

'I know you are good student. Now please take your seat and make sure this doesnot happen again.' Phew. He excused me. I sighed out of relief that I don't have to face detention atleast.

I took my seat beside the large window of the classroom and looked out of it. Usually I pay my full attention to the class and take notes. But today nothing seemed interesting. Its like the whole world has lost its colour to me. Everything is black and white.

I rewinded the almost accident in my head. What if I died? Would anybody miss me? Maybe someone would. I realized how deprived of love my life had become.

The warmth of the sun made my face glow. It is autumn now. I watched as the slight wind blew away the fallen lives. My eyes got drowsy as I continued staring out and I folded my arms on my desk and placed my head above. The warmth grew.

These were the very small details of nature that you don't usually notice in your daily life cause you are too busy. But when you do it brings a serene calmness to your mind.

And suddenly a warmth spread across my whole body. It never expectated to feel this ever again. But I did unknowingly. I felt loved and cared. And as I closed my eyes, for the first time I wasn't in a land of despair. Nor the land of dream. It was nothing. Just a peaceful calmness as the birds chirped in the trees.

And suddenly----

RIIINNNGGGGG.

I woke up with a jolt as I found most students packing up and leaving. The end of first class. Oh. If only I knew that it was also the end of the calm. The storm was about to begin.

As I moved down the hallway to keep my things in my locker and then to the cafeteria for my lunch break I found a group of girls crowding near the entrance of the hallway standing against my locker.

I went up to them and politely asked, "Excuse me. But can you please move I need to place my things inside the lovker and your standing against it."

They looked at me dumbfounded as if I had just said that Einstein is the most famous doctor in the world. And then they burst out laughing like hyenas.

Oh.Typical Bitches. I should've known by their looks.

One of them fake gasped as between her fake laughs and said in a very shrilly high banshee like voice , "Look who has come to talk with us. Welcome grand daughter-of-Newton. Its an honour to meet you".

Oh well that ain't a bad insult.

"Well its a surprise that you know Newton. I see I'm quite famous then. However it wasn't an honour to meet you. Now can you please move?" I replied adding extra sugar to my voice.

"Look who you're talking to. You think being a random someo-" She was cut off by Banshee no.2 as she screamed in even more high pitch, "HE HAS COME , HE HAS COME. OH MY GOD! HE HAS COME".

And suddenly all them started to straighten their dress fix their hair. The one I was talking to, well arguing to, pushed down her dress so that her breasts looked more bulged out. I noticed the change in many people in the hallway too. Like what is going on? Is Chris Hemisworth on his way?

Being least bit interested I opened my locker and just then I felt a hand (talon like nails) tap my shoulders. I looked around to see Banshee 1 looking down at me with disgust and squinting eyes she said, Now look what I do, b***h. Its my revenge."

I looked after her surprised as she clicked her heels and walked her way down the hallway.

"AWW MY BABY BOY ROLAND HIS HERE. COME ON GIVE YOUR GIRL A KISS." She screamed as if trying to to let the whole school know who she was with. Not like it didn't work cause I did notice the jealous faces of some.

On the other hand for me...well I didn't care as long as it wasn't Hemsworth. It was just some random guy named Roland. Probably the typical 'hot stuff' of our school that every school has and the one whose wanted posters are all over the girls' locker. I simply call these type of girls 'shameless'.

Soon I heard the clicking back of heels and banshee 1's whiny voice complaining to him, " BABY. You know there is someone I would like you to meet. She hurt me so badly when all I was doing was standing."

"Oh really Sweetheart. Show me who's that and Inwill show them what's hell, Jess".

So Banshee 1's name is Jess or maybe her name's short form. Who cares? But the voice it was so familiar. Like I had heard it before somewhere.

"She's standing right in the corner around this turn. Come with me babe." Jess or whatever complained again. UFF . This is so irritating. First her voice and second I can't pinpoint whose voice it is. Guess I'd have to wait to see.

And soon came the skinny skeleton like figure by hers followed closely behind by a very muscular tall frame of a boy. I hurriedly turned my face towards the locker and turned curtained it with my hair.

"HER." I jumped at the voice of the banshee just behind me.

" Now why don't you show your ugly face to my boyfriend and tell those things you told me?" Smugness dripped from her voice and it angered me so much that I turned in a swift motion about to slap her...

...

...

...

I was met with a familiar piercing green eyes. His lips twitched up into a smirk against his porcelain like clear skin. It was the Greek God himself standing in all his glory who came to earth to drive his car all over me but somehow couldn't.

It took me a moment to process things in the few cells of my brains and as soon as I did I took a step back realizing our proximity. It helped me catch a clear look at his angel face as he scrutinized me with his forest green eyes.

And as soon as realization hit us both our eyes widened, our pupils still, looking

at each other like we're the first human we are seeing in a planet full of ugly creatures.

And maybe it was my still pupils and dazed face that made him say whatever he said that left me and the whole population of the hallway stunned.

"COMEON NOW BABY. FORGIVE HER SHE'S JUST A UNFORTUNATE BLIND PERSON WHO CAME ACROSS YOUR PATH".

" B-BLIND BU-BUT SHE WAS SPEAKING FINE. AND HOW DO YOU KNOW ANYWAY?"

I was in no mind to realize what he said as it took some time for me process.

Camila stayed frozen in her spot as Roland dragged her noisy girlfriend away .

But as soon as she came back to her senses realized the meaning of his statement only one emotion stormed in her veins...

PURE RAGE

"OF ALL THE HE COULD'VE SAID HE HAD TO SAY BLIND? SERIOUSLY? BLIND?"

Exclaimed Camila as she stormed her foot in pure madness.
