It was a few hours after dinner that Nisha visited Misa’s chambers once more to get her ready to move into Royle’s room. Despite being confident that Misa would do everything she said, Nisha had still pulled whatever strings she’d attached to the royal council to have Misa under the watchful eye of the captain.
The witch had practically packed everything Misa had for her, and though she had fussed like a mother rushing to shove last-minute dresses in suitcases to send her child away to a private boarding school, Misa suspected Nisha was more interested in knowing everything in Misa’s possession than making sure everything that belonged to her would not remain in her room.
