The next morning…
I hugged him tightly in my arms. I slowly peeled my eyes opened only to found that the side of my bed was empty, and I was hugging a bolster instead of Caiden. My eyes went to the stained bedsheet. So it turned out, I wasn’t imagining things inside my head.
I heard a soft knock on the door, and before I could answer, the door already opened. I took the pillow in my hands and threw it towards the door. Caiden ducked his head before the pillow gets into his head. “Whoa, easy there, princess! I’m not going to hurt you,” he said, still in shock. He must’ve didn’t expect to be thrown by a pillow.
