I looked at the wall clock on my bedroom wall. It was 12 o clock at midnight. I looked at Caiden, and he has already fallen into a deep sleep. He must’ve been tired from waking up and taking care of Caleb these last few days. I walked towards the baby cot to put Caleb back.
I looked at her innocent face, and I still can’t believe that I was a mom. It was a long and beautiful journey with all the pain and suffering. He had long, thick eyelashes, and his small hands were holding onto my fingers tightly. As I finished putting him back, I jumped back in shock as I saw a shadow of a man in the window. This can’t be true! From his shadow, I could tell that it was Declan. I still can’t believe how persistent he was.
I took a few steps back from the window, but it was too late. H
