"I'm sorry..." Declan's voice was barely above a whisper as he reached up and gently wiped away the tear that had escaped down Elysia's cheek. She immediately pushed against his chest. "You think saying sorry takes away five years of neglect?" Elysia asked quietly. There was no shouting. No hysterics. Just a calm anger that somehow hurt even more. Declan refused to let her go. Even as she kept pushing against him, trying to free herself from his embrace, his arms remained firmly around her. "Give me one more chance," he pleaded. "Please. I promise I'll make everything up to you." Elysia let out a soft laugh. It wasn't an amused or happy laugh. It sounded... defeated. "Mr. Windsor." She slowly tilted her head and looked up at him. "How exactly are you going to make it up to me?"
