Rose was glad that the appointment was over with, and that Gabriella was there. Doctor Porter was gentle and kind with her but had asked her questions that brought up some things she would have rather forgotten. She knew it had to be done and was glad that the doctor had asked Hunter to wait outside; she didn't think she would have been able to answer if he had been present. Although she knew the doctor would tell him either way at least she wouldn't have to see his disappointment that she was weak, that she was indeed a slave. As Gabriella pulled her to the car, she looked back at Hunter to help her, playing of course, and he simply smiled at her. Gabriella mentioned how she had been too excited to spend time with her so she skipped school today for what she called “a mental health day”.
