I was back at Sunrise Brewery well before any of the others should have been there. I wanted to make sure the place was open and everything was set. It felt weird to host their party since I had only met them a few months ago, but they were definitely the type of people who collected friends like they were family. They made me feel like family. I double checked the single bathroom for extra toilet paper and paper towels, then stepped back and tried to be critical about it. It was a bathroom for God’s sake, but I was about to have close to fifty people using it. I just hoped the plumbing could handle it. The front door opened while I was trying to figure out if I could make the bathroom look nicer. Thinking it was Wilson, I didn’t bother to walk out until I heard a female voice. “Mack?”
