Chapter 23
By the time we made it to the wedding, I’d mostly calmed down. I still couldn’t wait to get Scarlett back home, but I wasn’t going to do something stupid like drag her to one of the offices and have my way with her.
Not that I didn’t think about it.
We said hi to the servers on our way down to the beach where the ceremony was. All the chairs lined the sandy shore, facing the water where Georgia and Eddie would say their vows.
We said hello and waved to all the people we knew. Scarlett pointed out Blake and Ian to me, and I had to agree with her. He draped his arm over the back of her chair and she leaned into him to whisper something. If I didn’t know they weren’t a couple, I would have assumed they were.
