I really didn’t understand why I was there. I wasn’t that important, and I didn’t feel like I was a part of the inner circle. But I was summoned, and when you were summoned by Kiana Palu, you showed up.
Sawyer didn’t mention the meeting during the tour of Sunrise the day before, so I had no idea what was going on. Not that I spent my days thinking about Sawyer or Kiana. No, that honor belonged to Scarlett. We traded a few texts over the last few days, but we went hours between replies and hadn’t worked out a time to get together. I wanted to see her. Go out with her. Hopefully kiss her. And a whole lot more.
