The night of the dinner party had arrived, and Rory was dressed to impress. She wore a stunning red gown, her hair styled perfectly, and her makeup flawless. As she descended the staircase, Julian's eyes locked onto hers, and he smiled. "You look breathtaking, Rory," he said, offering her his arm. Rory took it, her heart racing with anticipation. She knew that tonight was the night she would finally expose Julian's secrets. The dinner party was a whirlwind of champagne toasts and polite conversation. Rory played the part of the dutiful girlfriend perfectly, but beneath the surface, she was seething with anger. As the night wore on, Rory found herself face to face with some of the most influential people in the city. She smiled and laughed, all the while gathering information and making mental notes. But just as she thought she had everything under control, Rory saw him - a tall, dark-haired man standing across the room, his eyes fixed intently on hers. It was Marcus, the mysterious stranger who had warned her about Julian's true nature.
