Christian did not reply to her question. Upset and discouraged, she hung her head down in disappointment.
In just a couple of minutes the ride came to an end at the backside of the palace.
Christian got out of the car but Ella stayed seated. She did not want to show him how disappointed she was.
Her side of car door opened and Christian said,
"Come out."
She did not reply. Not even looked up at him.
"Come out, Ella." He repeated calmly.
"Go away." She said in a shaking voice. Sadness was choking her like a hand gripping her throat in a tight fist.
She had just asked him for this one day. She had just asked him to make this last day special for her. And he was ready to ditch her for that one fight in the jungle.
