Shirley
The sun rose up steepily in the morning. It's tender rays escaped through the window and sat on my face.
Usually, that was the moment I cuddled myself in Tremblay's arms to shield me from the ray.
The invitation of a new day seem to be bothering me.
As tradition states, a breeder is meant to live with her mate until she gets pregnant. Her mate can also chose to marry her if he so pleases.
I gave a loud yawn and rolled over.
I was obstructed by a blockage.
Without opening my eyes, I placed my hand upon it and began to detect what it was that stopped me.
My hand only touched a part of it.
It was soft and appearing long. A ball like shape at the sides that sunk in when pressed.
I opened my eyes as soon as I remembered what it was.
"Tristan!" I yelled his name and took my hands off his groin.
He mumbled from his sleep and blinked his eyes open.
"What's wrong Shirley?" He questioned with a faint voice. His eyes still sleepy.
"What are you doing here?" I rant, tugging off the covers from his body.
"I wanted to keep you company." he replied unflurried and ready to go back to sleep.
"Are you serious now? What if we get caught?" I affront.
He relaxed his head properly on the pillow and watched the ceiling as he laid.
"You're crazy, my husband knows I'm here."
"So?" He interjected.
"Tristan!" I called his name boldly and he turned to look at me.
"What happened between us yesterday must never happen again, I was drunk." I said to him.
"Really, so the intimacy was nothing to you?" He seem to doubt that I'm not in love with him.
"It meant nothing to me. You were just the cod I needed to get over pain."
He jerked up and mounted upon me, forcing my arms to be still on the bed.
He lowered his face towards mine that only a little space was in between.
He grimace and told me to look into his eyes.
I struggled to free myself from his grip, but he was too strong.
"Let go of me Tristan" I dragged.
"Say it to my face Shirley. Say that the feeling yesterday meant nothing to you?" He flustered.
"That wasn't love Tristan, it was just sex." I rolled my eyes.
"Oh really? But you never told me to stop." He flattered.
"Don't let it get into your head Tristan. You and I can never be." I said it clearly to his ears.
"It's Tremblay" I muttered as I heard his gentle steps.
I pushed him off my and got out of the bed.
"Get in the wardrobe!" I ordered and began adjusting my scattered hair.
I took a brief look at the place to crosscheck for any suspicious objects.
Tremblay's knock came upon the door.
I heaved a sigh of relief and walked towards the door.
Before opening the door, I checked to see if Tristan had gotten into the wardrobe.
He released another knock on the door and called my name this time around.
I opened the door afterwards.
He was standing there. Eyes fixed on me.
"You're up so early" it seem to be a shock to him.
"Uh huh!" I muttered and nodded forward.
He took a step forward while I stepped back a little.
My heartbeat raced rapidly, wishing he stood at that spot and not come in.
His scent was stronger in the pack and if I could scent Tristan even where I stood, then he could for sure.
Last night, the smell of alcohol must have shielded that.
"How are you dear?" He questioned and ran his hand through my cheeks.
I tried my best to maintain a steady gaze to avoid looking suspicious.
"Are you still mad about yesterday?" He asked, eager to hear me say something.
"I'm sure you enjoyed yourself with your breeder yesterday?" I changed the topic, folding my arms and frowned at him.
"She's---" he suddenly paused and began sniffing the air.
His eyes rallied around the room.
His gaze tells me he sense something fishy.
Could he scent his brother's presence?
Or was he picking up the scent of something else?
Tremblay's scent was spectacular. He could detect a particular wolf in the midst of a crowd.
As alpha, his strength and speed was unmatchable.
"Is someone here with you darling?" He said to me while fixing his eyes at the wardrobe.
"No---no one is here with me" I stuttered.
He walked away from me and began walking towards the wardrobe.
"Tremblay!" I yelled his name.
He paused, and turned back gently to look at me.
"You left someone in the room, you should go be with her" I affronted.
"Why do you keep saying that?" He began walking back to me.
That's just what I want. I want him to stay away from the wardrobe.
"I asked her to leave." Tremblay confessed.
"What?"
"She is only to come to my chambers at night." he replied.
He took hold of my hand and kissed it.
I was pleased by his decisions to keep her away for the meantime.
"You are mine Shirley, and no one can separate us." Those romantical words softened my heart.
I should have never closed my guts yesterday and slept with Tristan.
I feel sad about it.
"I love you Tremblay." I said, keeping an innocent look.
"I know. There's breakfast waiting for us on the dinning table." He informed with a smile on his face.
He smiled at me and held my waist while we both left the room.
