CHAPTER 6 (LAND CREATURE√)

1644 Words
Tonight is a festival in the traditional Chinese village. Azure was able to find a place to stay while their time in the game was still ongoing. They still have seven hours before they have to go. The mini heritage hotel was the first thing they saw, and they booked a room right away. Amethyst quickly peered through the wooden doors. She notices people working on the lanterns that are tied to each pole along the lane. The sun was starting to go down. Today is their annual Yuanxiao Festival, also known as the Lantern Festival. Lanterns are typically made of delicate paper or silk and are extremely simple. It also comes in a variety of sizes, including circular and oval. As she was staring at the people. Amethyst was outraged as Azure embraced her from behind. Millions of volts passed through her body. Azure can sense her pulse coming from her nape. "Oh, I'm sorry, did I scare you?" he asked. "No, I'm just stunned," she says. Azure easily slid out from behind it and out of his embrace. Amethyst approached him and kissed him on the cheek immediately. "Don't you dare try it again," she said, then pouted her lips. "You never know how I feel about it," she said solemnly. She took his hand in hers and put it on her middle breast, which was overshadowed by her metallic armour. When the two of them cross paths, their heartbeats match. "Do you see what I mean? It was fast fast as a bullet train," "I see," he responded. Azure grinned as he drew and embraced Amethyst. He's getting better because of the lady she's hugging right now. When his palm landed on the chest earlier, he realized how fortunate he was to be with this woman. It loved him, as does he. Azure noticed the golden bamboo comb as she embraced her. It was stunning, and it instantly drew her attention. A cool breeze blew in through their open doors. They were divided because the wind was different. The light will transform into night, and the moon will turn into blood. The Hunch on Azure restaurant has reopened. He cast a brief glance out the window at the people who had finished securing the lantern to the post. The place still seems to have no trace of danger, but Azure's suspicion does not disappear. "Do you want to go outside for a walk first?" he asked. "Sure, I'd like to see how lovely the red lantern outside is," she said. They immediately went outside and began walking. The lantern dangling from the pole is really appealing. It acts as a light source in the passage under the dark sky. The sound of their footsteps can be heard as they walk. Especially notable is the sabaton on his foot, which is part of a medieval suit of armor. There are also a lot of scattered players around like them. It is difficult to identify real human and fake people who are just part of the game. This game has four different guilds that the players themselves chose via hologram scanner—It has an assassin, mage, fighter, and marksman — but it doesn't mean you can no longer fight your co-guild. Azure is in the fighter's guild and Amethyst is in Conclave of Sorcerers, or better known as the mages' guild. But they are teammates. You can hear the vendors on the side of the road and the buyers. There are many shops on the side of the road which sell steamed Buns, dumplings, different types of fruits and combat equipment. Amethyst's eyes spark because of the reflection of the light coming from the lantern. "Wow, look," she exclaimed as she pointed to the side lane. "Isn't it lovely?" she inquired. "Well, sure, it is," "Just how lovely you are," he said quietly. "What?" she asked, perplexed. "Nothing, the lanterns are lovely — much like you..." The stunning row of lanterns on the side of the road serves as a light on the passage. He couldn't take his eyes off Amethyst's face because it was so happy. If there is anything beautiful that night — It's none other than Amethyst. While they were in the middle of walking, the people there suddenly got into a commotion and ran. A crackling sound echoed around. "Hey, what's that sound?" Amethyst trembled. "Enemy." He grabbed Amethyst's hand and pulled her away from the road so they wouldn't be struck by the oncoming traffic. "Get yourself together," he said. The booming sound repeated once more, and it seemed to be close. When they heard the growl, the other players stopped walking as well. Amethyst was anxious as a result of the unexpected occurrence, but she soon settled down because she was with Azure. Azure quickly drew his long sword. The people around you are still yelling. So Amethyst drew her long chain from the cuirass as well. A massive ground monster emerged from behind the tallest house and stood there. "Oh my goodness," Amethyst gasped. A gigantic land creature growls and looks at them. It has the appearance of a giant ape-man with big two pangs, narrow eyes, and brown hairy fur. The ground vibrates gently as a result of its footsteps. When the land creatures saw the people, they were enraged. The two ran quickly, avoiding blows from their large hands. Other players assist the villagers in leaving the town. Even the residents of this village are just a pawn in the game. As they dashed into the back of the frantic beast, Azure quickly devised a strategy. It was very dark behind it, and there were a lot of trees, so they came to a halt behind the tall trees. "What's your plan?" she whispered. His plan was based on the technique he used then "Hey, hey, calm down look at me," His two palms covered both of its cheeks. Amethyst was nervous about his plan. "We can do this, okay?" "Okay, promise me you will return," she hesitated. "Of course," he smiled. "Here's the plan — After five minutes that monster will fall here." "This land is loose. When a monster falls here, use your weapon to tie his two hands," he explained. Amethyst nodded " Okay, be careful please," "Yes, be attentive, Okay?" Amethyst just nodded again. She trusts him. When he says he will come back, he will come back. He let go of its cheek, before finally leaving towards the land creature. A weakness of that creature is its throat. Azure smirked before jumping on its back as the monster destroyed the household. He climbed a little for him to land below its nape. Creature moved backwards, shaking its back as the land creatures felt Azure was behind it. A growling sound started again. Before he finally fell behind it. He stepped on its big shoulder, positioning himself to draw an arc to cut the back of that evil land creature. "Booyah! Our first battle," one of the marksmen said. "Shut up! Jerk, just focus on that freaking monster, okay?" female marksman said. Some players in front of the creatures shot it with their arrow multiple times — but it missed—their knowledge is not enough for such a monster. A large passive hit from the creature on the ground to one of the marksmen who instantly disappeared. Azure saw that. He had to be careful: One strike of its hands might cause their defeat. Azure's deep cut behind the monster is the reason it was knocked down. He jumped to the ground before it fell. Amethyst quickly twisted her long chain to wrap in the monster's hand. She was extremely anxious but she did it. Amethyst sees Azure at the foot of the monster and it prompts her to move away from there. She walked away fast but the evil monster removed her long chain in its arm. Land creature's hand plunged toward her. However, a mysterious player all of the sudden grabs it and pulls it away from the gushing monster's hand. Azure quickly jumped on the monster's body and ran down towards its throat. He's brow knitted because he was worried about Amethyst. The edge of its sword sank deeply into the monster's throat. It let out a loud growl before it disappeared like a bubble. After the monster disappeared the other players went there. The point Azure got from the hologram came out but he ignored it and immediately looked for Amethyst. The backyards of the houses are dark because they have no light. "Woah, he killed the monster alone," one of the marksmen said. On the other hand, Amethyst and the unknown player who saved her earlier are now hiding in the tree. Its face was hidden by that black hoodie. One thing for sure, that player is a man because he's posture and physique. Amethyst is now holding onto the tree looking at the incident, but it is far from there. While his companion is leaning against the other tree. She was also worried about Azure since the incident suddenly happened earlier. "You almost got hit," he said seriously. "I know, thank you for saving me," she said. "Are you a solo player?" he asked. Amethyst turned to him " No, I have someone with me," Amethyst felt that the man who saved her earlier was kind. "Uhh, I see," he answered weakly. "I need to go," she said She turned around and bowed her head to show her appreciation. "Wait, it still dangerous," "It would be more dangerous if Azure and I were apart," she responded. "Bye, I need to go," She runs speedily as her feet fly over stones and leaves. The darkness tries to cover eclipse light, but it fails — They can no longer be separated by anything else.
