CHAPTER 5 (Official Name√)

1539 Words
Many miles away, the land of Brucke is so peaceful that it only their footsteps can be heard. Aside from their footsteps and the hummingbirds' whispers, there was no sound. "Can you tell me how long we've been here?" Winter inquired, feeling dizzy. Sky looked at her as they walked across a peaceful land. He appeared to swipe up the air, and the hologram they had seen when they first emerged here appeared. It's about the size of a tiny pizza box. Holograms are liminal objects: colorless glass panes that transform into a portal to another dimension when illuminated by a laser. Only a thousand people are recruited as beta testers. He checked his hologram to see how long they'd been playing the game. He found their username was still red in the holograms' username bar. They must adjust things so that they are not noticed by other competitors in the real world. This is one of the rules of the game. "It's been five hours since we arrived." He said. "It's been a while," she said in a staccato tone. "Did you get tired?" he asked, concerned. "No, I'm fine." "I'm glad we're here together," she said cheerfully. "I'm more than happy." "Seeing you is enough." he seriously added. Winter joy unfolded like a flower when she heard that. She did, though, experience some foot pain as a result of the duration of their stroll. Sky removed the hologram and stared at the yellow tree nearby. He seemed to be enticed to sit under the tree in a shady location. He reasoned that they should rest first before changing their name. "Let's take a break for a while," he suggested. They crossed over to the shade tree and collapsed on the wind-flattened lawn. He let out a long breath before seeing Winter lying beside him. It took a deep breath and stared up at the clouds. She was stunning, particularly up close. When it looked like Sky was looking at her, it turned to face him. "Teach me more, Sky." she blurted. "Of course, I will do that." he responded. He was surprised by what she meant before nodding. She seems to be very eager to learn more. ________ ________ Rules in Reborn Battle It is prohibited to discuss the outside world when the player is still in the game. - It is not permitted to use your actual name. "Like you did earlier?" she asked. "Yes," he said, nodding. "All right," she paused. She sat down and did as Sky instructed. Her hologram appeared. Her username remained unfilled. Sky sat down and activated his hologram as well. "Let's change our name because the game requires it," he suggested. They are both considering a new name. They're having trouble because both of their names are perfectly fine and unique. "How about Azure, isn't that calming and cool?" she chuckled. "Azure?" "Yes, it's perfect for you," The word Azure was derived from the word Sky as well. The name Azure is still used to refer to it. He swiped up his two fingers to the side. The keyboard hologram showed up. He typed the Azure name that Winter suggested. "Azure is cool," he said with a smile. Winter is an excellent thinker in this regard. Perhaps that she works as a writer for a publishing book company. "And what about you?" "Hmm, I'll think about it..." He returned his gaze to Winter, who was still wondering. They smiled at each other and spoke at the same time for a few minutes. "Amethyst.” They were both surprised because they had had the same idea. Amethyst is a valuable stone made up of a violet or purple type of quartz. That was the first thing that came to mind for Winter. Sky, on the other hand, recalls a female character from a previous game. Their official names in the game are now Azure and Amethyst. They take another short break before getting up. They can see the luminescent clouds, which are thin and move quickly. This simulated universe has a lot of dimensions, which is much greater than in the real world. "Well, I believe Amethyst is your new official name," he exclaimed. "Should we go?" Azure inquired. "All right, let's go." They retraced their steps into a big settlement. A massive growling giant approached Amethyst's stomach as they walked. They both glanced at each other and came to a halt. She couldn't mask her embarrassment because of the little beast inside her stomach. "I think I'm hungry," she admitted, her face flushed. Amethyst bit her lower lip in an attempt to hide her embarrassment. "We will find food here," Azure grinned. "Can we?" she asked. "Yes, we can," he replied. "Are you sure?" She really can't believe that. Within the confines of this immersive game, anything is possible. This game's unknown creator is important. They will discover even more. Azure couldn't help but grin as she saw her girlfriend's look. She was too surprised. "But before we ate..." "We need to find food," he explained. "Then I guess we need to find the food as soon as possible," she said, nodding. She was dead set on finding the food. And with her slender body, Amethyst is a voracious eater. Another blessing she owns. They resumed their trek towards the second village they were passing through. These Chinese villagers usually have a communal well, which is clean and breezy. An older form of Chinese Village is quiet and provincial. It is made up of their fortunate colors, red and gold. There are a few carriages passing by, and the majority of them are busy at their stores. Amethyst exhaled a long breath. She was overjoyed because she could still smell the delectable rice, making her mouth water slightly. "You've got a little creature in your belly, huh?" he joked. She shook her head and pursed her mouth. "Are you not really hungry?" "A little." Many people walk alone, while some have companions such as the two of them. The tasty Spanish bread with stuffing inside instantly piqued Amethyst's interest. She could smell the delectable aroma of freshly baked bread. "let's buy it." she said, Amethyst is about to pull the money in her pocket but the metal touches her palm. She remembered they were no longer in reality. She turned sadly to Azure because she had no money. He immediately swiped his palm again in the air and quickly searched for where their coins were. They have one-hundred coins —which is enough just because they are just getting started—he swiped his two fingers left and he pressed the forty coins just enough to buy bread. It suddenly fell under his hologram and landed on his palm. "Here you go," he said, handing the coins to her. "Oh, good, Azure." she was amazed. "Thank you.” She thanked. She immediately pointed to the Spanish bread and a long loaf of bread that looked incredibly tasty and appetizing. "Please, Mr., Spanish bread, and that's delicious long bread," she pointed. What she figured out was quickly picked by the old vendor. Azure smiled as he looked at Amethyst, who was now excited. Yet he couldn't help but look around because the risk was everywhere. When the elderly vendor put the bread in a fresh brown paper sack. Amethyst accepted it and compensated the previous vendor. She bows briefly to show appreciation to the vendor before turning to face Azure, who is now looking at the old houses there. Before speaking, she bite the long bread. "What are you looking at?" she said, chewing the bread in her little mouth. "Nothing unusual, only checking the whole village," he said. "That's it?" she inquired. When she actually had a taste of stuffing. Her tongue is touched by a smooth, smooshy strawberry. It was as smooth as strawberry jelly and just the right amount of sweet. "Um, it's delectable." "It tastes much better at the pricey bakery near my condo," she gasped. Amethyst is amazed when she tastes tasty bread in the virtual world. "Try it," she suggested. Azure smiled; he didn't sense any threat, so he set the observation aside first. As Amethyst handed him the Spanish bread, he grinned. He took the bread to his mouth and ate it. "Isn't it delicious?" Amethyst inquired. He grinned, even biting for more. That was delectable. He couldn't believe how much this game had changed and even the food tasted sweet. It's difficult to believe he went back in time, particularly after fate led them to this game.
