"You're in a good mood for the first time this decade." Bonnie tells Damon as he was whistling as we walked through the woods.
"Because I have a hot date with my girl tonight." He tells Bonnie.
"Yeah, assuming Kai's telling the truth." Bonnie tells him but he ignores her.
" I'm thinking dinner and a movie. You know what? Screw the dinner and a movie. Skip straight to the good part." He says making me laugh.
" Yeah. And assuming I can do the spell, which I won't know until I see it." She tells him.
" Whatever happened to hope, Bonnie?" I ask her.
" Remember when I was all like, 'boo, grr, and you were all 'hooray, hooray. We're getting out of here!' " Damon tells her trying to imitate her voice making me smile.
"Look. I want to go home more than anything, but Kai's a sociopath. Who's to say he won't screw us over?" Bonnie says.
"Me. I say because I will kill Kai and anyone who comes in the way of me going home to my family." I tell them.
"I heard my name. All good I hope. The eclipse will happen directly overhead in perfect alignment with the Gemini constellation. You need to dig into the tunnels below us. We'll do the spell there." He tells us popping out from somewhere.
"Why?" Bonnie asks him.
" Have you never portal jumped through an eclipse before? Ok. Look. The light of the eclipse will shine down and activate the ascendant. You spout a little witchy woo, and then poof! Anyone standing in the circle of light holding the ascendant goes home." He tells her.
"By witchy woo, I assume you mean the spell. Let me see it." She tells him.
"When the time comes." He says walking away.
"Where are you going?" I ask him crossing my arms.
"Into town. I need to gather some important supplies." He tells me.
Damon picks up the pick ax whistling and starts hitting it into the ground.
"Hey. You know, there's a very probable chance you're digging your own grave and not bothered." Bonnie says.
"Looks like I got back just in time." Kai says seeing Damon breakthrough into the caves. Damon speeds over to him and takes his bag and looks through it.
"Zima, grunge, every Alex Rodriguez rookie card in demand, and a pager. Really?" Damon asks him.
" 555 hi Kai. No way I'm giving those digits up." Kai says with a smile.
"These were the important supplies you had to get?" I ask him standing up.
"Look. The future sound great, all right? I'm super excited about the Internet, but 1994 has been my home for most of my life. I'd hate to get homesick. So let's get down there." Kai says.
" No. We are not going anywhere until you show me the spell." Bonnie says pushing past Damon.
"Ok." Kai says standing there with a smile.
"...Are we literally not going anywhere?" I ask them.
"Fine. You don't want to show me the spell, then you can do it yourself. You want my magic. Take it." Bonnie tells him holding her arm out to him.
"Heh. Uh-oh. She's being brave." He says looking at me.
"I'm serious, Kai. This was your big threat, wasn't it? If I don't do the spell and let us out of here, you'll just take my magic, leave me for dead, and do the spell yourself. So go ahead. Take all of it." She tells him.
"Don't mind if I do." He says grabbing her and siphoning as Bonnie grunts in pain.
"Bonnie?" I ask her.
"It's ok. He won't kill me." She says.
"Doesn't look like that from here." Damon says."Ohh! Hey, Bonnie. Whoa, hey, guys. Stop!"
I speed over to them and pull them away from each other. Hissing in pain when Kai grabs my wrist, but he's quick to stop seeing it's me and not Damon.
"He doesn't know the spell, which means we don't need him. Motus." Bonnie says sending the pickax into Kai's chest making him drop to the floor dead.
"No! No! Bonnie! Great work, Bonnie. Just bloody great." I tell her patting her shoulder.
I take a walk to blow off some steam. Damon finds me telling me Bonnie found the way out and now we are standing in the hole as Bonnie prepares the spell.
"It's time." Bonnie tells us and Damon and I stand under the light with her.
"All right. Let's get awkward." Damon says."Like this? " He asks putting his hand under mine.
"Yep."
"I'm sure there are about a billion people you'ed rather be here with." I tell them.
"Not exactly." Bonnie says giving me a kind smile. " Let's go ohh!" She yells out as an arrow hits her making her fall.
"Unh! Forgetting someone? Did you really think I hadn't tried to kill myself before? Because I had, lots of times, lots of ways. Grab that, and the next arrow goes in her heart. Your choice." Kai says as Damon tries to get the ascendant.
Damon speed to Bonnie." I got you." he tells her.
"No! Ohh! Damon!" Bonnie says as I attack Kai who tried to get the ascendant.
But he takes an arrow and stabs it in my heart and breaks it so the arrow was stuck in me. I fall to the floor in pain trying to dig the piece of the arrow out.
Damon attacks him next but Kai has him pinned down with an arrow in his chest.
"Bonnie, get out of here." He tells her.
"I'm not gonna make it. Unh! But you are. Motus." She says but I black out missing whatever it was that Bonnie did. I just hope Damon got out and can get us help.
