Rosa Vista
"Yes, Lenzo I know I just got distracted." I Let out a breath placing my book back in my bag.
"I know Rosa but you know you don't have a car and it's almost 9 pm, you should be getting home. You know the rules." He said.
I rolled my eyes.
"You know you could have called me instead of using FaceTime." I smiled at him
He let out a laugh "oh darling you know I can't, Mason has me playing FIFA with him, I cant manage to lose." He chuckles showing me the paused game on his flat screen.
Boys will be boys.
"But anyways." he turns the camera back on his face.
" You need to watch out more Rosa, you know about the rumors of this town and the witch, you have to get home, nothing good ever happens to those who walk around alone at night." I sighed. He was right.
"I know it's just you know how my grandmother before she passed she gave me this necklace right." He nods
Walking down the street holding my phone up to my face for Lenzo, making sure I don't trip or fall on anything.
He stares."Well" he blinks waiting for my response.
"Sorry gotta watch out where I'm going. But anyways, so I went up to my attic to find some old movie boxes my dad had put up there, so I can watch them on the DVD player since the internet had shut off for a while." I say being careful with my surroundings.Passing old stores and bakeries, god this place is dead.
"I found this box hidden, and so I move it and it was filled with these weird books, I opened it and it seems to be a diary with my grandpa's initials written on them,"
"I scanned through it, seems like it was written in Spanish and the weird part is I kinda could understand it." I look at him. His eyes weren't facing me anymore, letting me know Mason was back.
"Well rosa you did take Spanish your first two years of school " he laughs.

Sigh."Well yeah but this was different like I could really understand it like I was fluent in it, it's feels different from when I took the class." I look back at where I'm walking.
"you know what else" I say as I pass by a bus stop.
"The necklace my grandma gave me was drawn on it but this time the page was in some language I didn't understand ." I look back down as he looks up at the game
"Maybe it was somt- my lack of signal interrupted what he was going to say.
"Lenzo i can't hear you, I think there's no signal, I'll call you back later when I have signal." I say.
I could faintly hear him say "Yeah of course." I end the video chat.
Just when I was about to place the phone away I hear a loud thunder.
"Oh no" I start feeling raindrops fall on me.
"Why now of all the days, I'm late, dad's going to kill me." I say to myself looking around where I was.
Rain starts to pour out and I quickly run into the end of the street heading to some familiar houses in the town.
I keep walking, only to feel like something is following me, I look around and saw no one. What the hell. Ugh, I hate this town. I walk down the street and finally find a sidewalk. The town should really stop throwing pointless balls and maybe get some sidewalks because I'm getting tired of walking on grass and mud.
I keep walking, this rain has me uncomfortable, I'm freezing and my clothes are stuck on me like glue. I adore the rain but unquestionably not when I'm outside and not when I'm not even close to home. I keep strolling and now its just a few houses and more trees.
*crack*
I pause, that definitely came from behind me.
You heard nothing I tell myself.
*crack*.
I frantically tell myself to not look.
I look back, lord Rosie you're so dumb why would you do exactly what you scream at the girls in the horror movies not to do.
I begin looking all around me until my eyes land on something, not just something...eyes.
WTF!!
blue-yellow glowing eyes stare back at me. What the hell.
I stand still, unable to move.
"Its nothing Rosie..nothing you should be afraid of, its just probably headlights or something or a stupid kid trying to prank you." I tell myself. i begin slowly walking backwards, unable to scream. I heavily breath as the eyes staring at me get closer, i finally get the courage to run.
I run as fast as I can never looking back. as i continue running down the street I see some headlights. i run to where they can see me. The truck stops.
Unable to see because of the blinding lights. i move closer until i can see the strangers in the car. A guy and a girl. He steps out of the car, as the 6ft tall guy moves closer to me, my breathing gets louder.
"Hey you okay ?" he worriedly asks, he can tell I'm frightened because he moves a step back. I open my mouth to speak but nothing comes out. my head starts to hurt, i start to feel dizzy as the world begins to spin In my eyes, i closed my eyes and when i opened them my vision became fuzzy, my knees give out.
the stranger catches me before i could even hit the ground "Hey, you okay" he gently say.
looking one more time at his face i could see he was "handsome." shoot the words slips out of my lips. The feeling of embarrassment slowly washes over me. What the heck Rosa, say your name, you i***t.
He looks at me and softly smiles.
"I'm Rosa" I say before my body slowly weakens and my vision is as black as the night sky, everything starts to fade until i blackout.
