I can't sleep. Maybe it's because of the pregnancy? Or the fact the wind is howling outside like a raging storm?
The room feels like a hundred degrees, I'm constantly turning and kicking the covers off despite wearing only panties and a shirt. Lucien growls for me to stop, or at least let him have all the covers for himself.
I won't let him touch me whilst we sleep normally. He's a vampire so he can be cold...so cold sometimes I find ice stuck in his skin from swear evaporating. Others he's boiling like a wolf typically is, and right now it's the latter.
A strong blow of wind forces the window open. Lucien snores on, oblivious to the howling sound. I crave the cold air, yet rain filters in with it, soaking the floor and the sheets.
Sighing, I force myself out
