675 Words
Noelle was excited to resume her final year in Junior Secondary School (JSS 3). She was so happy. As she got to school, she ran to see which class she had been placed in. She was in JSS Three Abundance. She took a quick glance at the rest of her classmates and frankly she was disgusted. She hated them all but a few actually caught her eye. Then suddenly a boy runs past her hitting her and throwing all her books on the floor. "Hey! What the hell is wrong with you?" screamed Noelle. "I am so sorry, here let me help you up," the boy says. She looks up to see a cute boy staring at her and immediately, she felt butterflies in her stomach but discards it. "Don't help me," Noelle shouted, she picked up the rest of her books and heads inside the classroom. She found a seat on the third row but on the fourth seat. After the first bell rung and the lesson was over, she set out to get to know her classmates but was interrupted by a tap from behind, she turned around and saw the boy who had run her over and almost immediately anger ignites in her. "What do you want?" asked Noelle, "Whoa, why so jumpy, anyways I'm Justin, you?" he says with a smile. "I don't give my name to strangers," she says and then leaves. And suddenly Justin remembers she was the girl he ran over. She looks cute, he says to himself. Noelle's POV After an accident filled week thanks to Justin, I was slightly reluctant to resume for next week but trust me I didn't show it on my face. When I entered into the class, lo and behold my worst enemy was on his seat, Justin. I hate him so much, I decided to ignore him and go to my seat since we were the only ones in the class. As I was writing my notes, he came over. "What do you want Justin," I say angrily. "I came to apologize," Justin says abruptly. What? Noelle replies shocked and then she suddenly lifted her head up. "Yeah I know it's been a rough week for us, but I want us to be friends," he concludes. "We're not friends we're simply colleagues, hell we're not even colleagues, we're just classmates," Noelle rushed trying to get this conversation over with. "Look I'm sorry, OK? but to be honest you're actually the first person I've ever apologized to." "So what, am I supposed to feel special?" Noelle said with finality. "No, I'm just saying I may not be very good at this," Justin says. Damn right you are, Noelle fired back. "You curse? anyways I'm sorry." "Get out, Noelle shouted. Noelle please don't make this harder than it already is," Justin says. "So now I'm being difficult" she answered. "I never said that, I said I was sorry and I would like us to be friends" "Like I said earlier, we're simply classmates, when you're done take your leave, your seat's that way," she says pointing to his seat. Fine, Justin says angrily before leaving. Two days later, Noelle started feeling a pang of guilt for speaking to Justin that way and she decides to apologize Early Wednesday morning, she goes over to meet Justin. Hey, she says but Justin totally ignores her. "Look I'm sorry, alright?" Noelle says again but Justin totally ignores her and Noelle immediately gets upset. " Stop ignoring me, I said I was sorry," she says finally "For which part exactly," Justin replied also angrily "Everything, Snubbing you and refusing your apology and I would like us to be friends too," Noelle finally says. "Don't annoy me," Justin says his anger clearly dissolving. "J. I'm really sorry," Noelle says in her cutest and most babylike voice. " Fine but only because you're so cute," Justin finally says. Noelle flusters a little but finally clears her face. "Thanks, talk to you later," she says. Bye, Justin says as she finally leaves.
