My Half Sister-Ivory Raven

641 Words
I have a half-sister. My mind is completely blown. I stare into her eyes as I imagine what would it have been like to grow up with her. Not to be mean to Xander, but as a girl, we kinda can't share clothes. Ivory and I could have given each other makeovers, try new hairstyles.     I am snapped out of my thoughts as she pulls me into a hug. She feels slightly cooler than I do. I guess vampires are actually cooler than anyone mentioned. Her shiny black hair is soft on my fingers as I caress my arms around her. Her face is pressed against the crook of my neck. I hear her sniff as if trying to find a trace of our father on me. As her head pulls up, her eyes look at me confused. Her fangs were slightly protruding out of her mouth.     "You smell so different than any supe I have ever smelled before. I guess it's the mixed blood in your system. I sense a slight fragrance of vampire blood in your system. Your witch blood is very powerful. How have you been able to keep it hidden from everyone?" Her voice is full of honest confusion. Her cool fingers still on my arms.        "Well, for one, I have placed a spell on her to keep her vampire side at bay until she is alone and away from any being. I had a feeling with Oberon's blood, she would have vamped out when she was a teenager. I was correct. She has just had her first change last night, but she has drunk blood since she was 10 years old. This morning, however, BellaDawna has seen a vision of your father. He is still alive." My mother says with a small smile. Ivy stares at her, soaking in this information. Her cool hands never leaving my arms. I lean into them, feeling comforted even though we just met.     All of a sudden, her eyes start to sparkle, a genuine smile forming on her dark red lips. She pulls me back into her as she starts jumping up and down with excitement. I am slightly startled as most vamps don't show many emotions except anger and sullenness. I join her, mainly because she has a death grip on my shoulders, but also because seeing her this excited makes me feel the exact same way. A small giggle passes through her lips right next to my ear. She then froze as if she heard someone coming towards the door. That beautiful smile turned into a deep scowl as she stepped away from me.     As we all looked towards the door, Aunt Odessa came in a look of pure terror in her eyes. As she looks at us, her eyes zero in on Ivory. Dismissing whatever thought had crossed her mind, she sighed in relief. Placing her hand on my shoulder, she smiled slightly as she gave her attention to mother. Willing the door closed, mother was in her arms, just as Odessa started to sob. The only sound was now her sobs of pain, her entire body shaking. Once she calmed down a little, she started telling us what was happening.     "Sister, a stranger with an aura of pure evil has been spotted near the school grounds. While he has not injured anyone yet, I believe he soon will. I do not think you nor BellaDawna is safe with him so close. We must leave." Odessa says quietly, her hand still on mom's arm. As mom nods slowly, a searing pain runs through my body, making me fall to the ground. Ivory catches me before I land on my face. I smile slightly before a scream tears its way out of my throat.     I soon blackout. My last thought was "What will happen with my father now?"
