Chapter Three
March-April 1869
Clark and Grant decided that it would be best to take Dale to a large cabin on Morgan’s horse ranch. Talako and Skeeter stayed with Dale until Grant and Clark could see their wives and make everything ready for Talako and Skeeter with Chaffee and Morgan.
Margo and Angelina were together at the Morgan mansion. They were sitting on the porch talking, and both went running when their men rode up. Even with the trail of dust and grime, big hugs were shared. It wasn’t long before Margo said, “You guys go bathe and change into clean clothes. We can talk about your dad later.”
Clark said, “A bath and clean clothes will definitely be appreciated, but I will be busy with your dad and Chaffee the rest of the day. We have a lot of personal business to discuss,
