Chapter Four
May 1869
Grant led the group to the Morgan cabin and discovered that Clark and Margo were in the process of moving into their new home. It wasn’t as elegant as her parent’s house, but it was large and quite nice. The downstairs consisted of a large parlor, a library for Clark, a large bedroom with a nursery attached, a servant’s room, a large kitchen, and a couple of other smaller rooms. The upstairs was laid out with four bedrooms and a central sitting room.
Dale and Martha were flabbergasted, as were Grant and Angelina. Most of the rooms still needed furniture, but the house was a showplace befitting a wealthy mine owner and his high society wife.
