Angelina laughed and said, “Well, that about sums it up!”
Lizzie jumped up and said, “I’ve got some drawings to show you.”
She bounded off and returned with an armload of sketches and paintings. As she flipped through them, Angelina was extremely impressed. She had sketched every Freedom Town and former Freedom Towner entry in the Fourth of July contests and events. She captured the horses, mules, and people in vivid poses.
One sketch showed Angelina, Gato, and Leon riding the Paso Fino horses in the parade. The horses were in-step, with one hoof on the ground. Their manes and tails were flowing, as was Angelina’s hair. The motion of the horses was visible in the sketch.
