When his mate opened her eyes earlier, he was extremely happy until his eyes settled down on the bruise around her neck. He felt like he had been punched in his gut.
He failed to protect her.
Did the guards strangle her? he thought worriedly before thinking of the pain he would inflict on them, and he smiled sinisterly.
