KANE'S POV
The knock sounded vehemently against the door, troubling me in the process. After my confrontation with Emrys over Jessica and the throne I'd decided to keep away and be on my own. Backing off wasn't in the plan and would never be. It wasn't the right time yet and till then, it was best to stay indoors.
Maybe if I walked out of this room I was going to bump into Jessica and my wolf might start to nettle inside of me at the sight of my wolf with someone else entirely. Hell I didn't want any of that to happen. The first time was already enough insult to my ego already.
