My Property!

“I'm going to pull this trigger right into your brain right now, and not even a chicken would crow around here.” Martins chuckled and stood up, raising his hands dramatically. “I'm all yours, provided you let me have her too.” “Now you both stop this madness and put the guns down!” They glared at each other before Derrick pulled in his gun with his men following suite immediately. They could be at war with each other all day, but they knew that their father's words were law. Charlotte already had her heart in her hands. “You've signed the deal, that's what's important. The stone estate is officially now yours and that of your heir once you get one. Remember the deal. Once it's over five years, and she has been unable to bear you an heir, the one we confirm to be yours truly ownership will be taken away from you and handed over to your brother — James. After you, he's the one who's qualified to take this position.” Derrick scoffed and stood up, dragging Charlotte's hand up with him. “I believe we're done here?, Because I have some important business with my wife tonight. We need to make an heir. With that, he dragged her hands and pulled her into the bedroom, made her sit on the bed and stood staring at her. “That dude with ginger bread colored hair. Avoid him. “Why?” “For goodness’ sake, stop asking stupid questions and just do what I say!” "Am I supposed to be mute throughout my stay here? Your family doesn't know that you got a contract wife. How am I supposed to put up with the fact that they desire an heir from me?” His eyes darkened and he rubbed his hair frantically. She was too distracted with how hot that made him look to notice that he'd started talking. “This whole thing stays between both of us. But you?. You stay within my own confines,” he added and walked close to the door. “And don't you dare come close to me again?” He shut the door and breathed in deeply. “Tom, send the delivery details to Collins. Tell him to not mess things up, else I'll drive a bullet into his brain,” he said once Tom was close by. Now the marriage drama was over, it was high time he got into business. James stood on the edge of his bed with Martin walking to and fro in his room. “You've really got to chill. It's not that deep. He'd only have access to it as long as he gets an heir. We won't let that happen”. “You don't get it. That bastard will outsmart us again. You know how we worked tirelessly to get a girl for him, and he kept avoiding all of them. This new girl seems to be someone we cannot easily penetrate. Where did she even come from?!” “That's more reason why you should be calm. She's quiet, decent and calm. Probably a nobody too. We can easily get to her. Martins rubbed his head in frustration and walked to James, gripping him tightly on his shoulders. “Do you even know what's going to become of us in the future if she really bears a child for Derrick?" If that happens, it means we will be kicked out of the stone heritage completely. Worse still, we can't hurt that child if she ever gets pregnant.” James shoved his hands off and stood up, straightening up his shirt. “Don't be stupid, man. You and I know how much Derrick dislikes women. He might be able to do it, but it's going to take hard effort. We could make it difficult for them to mate instead. “How?” “Mandy. She'll know what to do better.” Martins arched his brows and James nodded quietly. It was night. Charlotte had been ushered by the maids and taken round the house, but it didn't make her feel at home. She wanted home. She missed her mother. When she was brought into the dining room for dinner, her eyes widened in shock at the various delicacies they had set before her. She was going to dig into a plate when someone randomly propped down beside her. It was the Martins guy. She prayed silently that Derrick wouldn't walk in on them. He picked up a piece of utensils and started digging into his Paella. “I used to like shrimp, but I think something must've changed with my taste because I no longer do.” Charlotte clutched onto her spoon tightly, not knowing if she was expected to feel free with him. Her heart pounded inside her chest and trickles of sweat fell down her face. “Do you like shrimps, sister-in-law?” Charlotte was still quiet so he chuckled lightly. “I’m Martins. Your sweetheart’s step-brother. I guess we'll be seeing each other more frequently. Feel at home. This is your husband's house.” Her grip on the fork tightened and she swallowed. “You know, since we're family now, and you have obviously won my brother's attention, it would be nice if you could become acquainted with us. We don't bite”. He added with a wink that completely disgusted her. Charlotte stood up abruptly and cleared her throat. She didn't even want to imagine what Derrick would do if he saw them together like that after what happened earlier. “Do I make you uncomfortable? I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to,” Martins said nonchalantly as he dug further into his meal. The sound of his spoon on the plate was the only audible sound, and she felt it awkward to say anything else. “Don't worry, I'll keep quiet, just sit and finish up.” She wanted to say something. Maybe tell him that she was full already, but she knew better than to even engage him in a conversation. So she turned and started walking upstairs, praying that the worms in her stomach would pardon her for not eating anything that night. She was almost at the door of her room when a strong hand gripped her wrist. She turned to the person, and it was none other than James. She shut her eyes and hoped that on opening it, he would have probably vanished because of how awkward their position looked. “Going somewhere?” She rolled her eyes and swallowed. What now? “Don't be like that, sister-in-law. I just thought it would be nice to do some official introduction. Don't you think so?” The brunette-haired young man who looked anything but trustworthy had a smirk on his face which made him look slightly mysterious. “I'm James. I'm sure Martins introduced himself to you already” She stared at him dryly, then tried pulling her hand away from his, but his grip was tight. So she let the words flow from her mouth. “I need to go. Please let go of me.” “Oh, should I?. What do you want from my brother?" Tell me, who sent you?” “Wh….what?” “You come here and act all innocent, and you think we wouldn't figure out that you're up to no good?” “I don't know what you're talking about. Let go of me, else I'd shout.” “You slut. You came here with some ulterior motive, and you want us to all crumble at your pretty innocent-looking face, but you failed woefully at it. I'll make you leave this house before you even know it." He said with hard stares as his hands dug into her flesh. “You're hurting me!” She was almost moved to tears now. “I'm going to do even worse than hurt you if you don't go back the way you came in…” “I don't…” There was a sound coming from the stairs, and she knew it was her chance to escape from the psycho, but he played smart and pulled her into a corner, enveloping her with his huge build. It happened so fast, and before she could process what was happening, Derrick emerged from behind them. “What's going on here?” “Isn't it obvious?" Your wife is a w***e, and she's been throwing herself at me since she came here. I decided to give her a chance at once.” The look on Derrick's face was deadly, but he was quietly staring a her. With a smirk plastered on his face, James slowly released his grip on her, then turned around and walked away. Charlotte's tears were already flowing, with her silently wondering what he wanted to achieve by doing that. He took slow and deadly strides towards her and, without warning, he yanked her hands and she was on the floor already. “Get up!” She didn't even have the time to process the pain from the fall, and she was already up and scurrying behind him. Immediately they got into the room, his gaze darkened even more while she nodded her head negatively, slowly moving backwards. Her hands trembled at her back as he moved his gaze from her face to her chest, then to her eyes again. “You're just going to go about, w*****g?” “I…I didn't do anything with him. He tried to…” He didn't wait for her to be done with words, his instant grasp on her hands made her breath hitch. “How many times do I have to tell you this, you're mine. MY PROPERTY!”
