He heard the knock on his door just as he took a swallow of coffee, and he turned where he was standing beside his desk. “Hey, Chief,” said Carmen. “Just got a call from Lisa Jenkins about a man who’s openly threatening her. His hostility is over the top, so much so that she fears for her safety.
