She would do whatever he asked and create just enough confusion to keep him off guard. Lucian was not easy to deceive, but she was willing to try. Their eyes met. For a brief second, Lucian’s eyebrows lifted before his expression returned to normal. Aurelia noticed. A tiny reaction. She slowly approached him, forcing herself to remain calm despite the fear twisting inside her. She needed to make him believe she was finally accepting her fate “Of course, Master,” she said softly. “A married woman should know how to please her husband.” She smiled, carefully watching his reaction. Lucian’s expression remained unreadable, but she noticed the slight tension in his jaw. For a moment, neither of them spoke. Then Lucian abruptly stepped back. His eyes lingered on her for one final second before he turned and walked out of the room. Aurelia released the breath she didn't know she had been holding. Her plan had worked—or at least, she hoped it has ******** Aurelia stood in the same spot he had left her with a satisfactory smile, Even if it means selling of her dignity for successful revenge, then she'll gladly do it She opened the middle part of her book and smiled, The door suddenly opened and Kyle walked in. Aurelia skilfully covered the page opening another one " Is there anything I can do for you Mr Kyle" she said bowing a little "You seem to really recognize me even when you've not seen my face before" "I've seen this mask many times, and I heard your name several times from master" she said and he walked slowly to the bed and sat down "How are you feeling" he asked after a pause "I'm feeling great, thanks for asking me Kyle" Can you not calle Mr Kyle it makes me feel like n ancestor" Kyle said and Aurelia smiled "Ok Kyle" a minute of silence passed and Aurelia spoke again "Your seem to be the only friendly one here" "Everyone are friendly here but in a Mafia clan everyone needs to be careful, boss is the most friends one here" Kyle said and aurelia scoffed "Am I supposed to take that the opposite way friendly that like a curse to him"aurelia scoffed again "That is because you've not gotten to know him" "Let's switch to another topic Kylie or play a game" "Kylie??? I love the name" He said and aurelia laughed this time "So which game" Kyle asked and aurelia smirked ********Later that night****** A male figure dressed entirely in black jumped over the fence. Despite its height, his shoes barely made a sound when he landed. He moved steadily through the darkness, his presence almost impossible to detect. When he reached the guarded area, the mobsters immediately raised their weapons. Before they could react, the figure released a cloud that quickly disoriented them. One after another, they collapsed. The mysterious figure continued forward. He pulled out his phone and accessed the security system, manipulating the CCTV footage so that it displayed nothing unusual. Ten minutes later, he disappeared into the darkness. Exactly one minute after he left, the guards regained consciousness and resumed their positions. From there the CCTV resumed *********Morning******** Lucian stared blankly at Kyle, who kept his head lowered. “Did you find the intruder?” he finally asked. “No, boss. But the person left a note.” Kyle pulled out a rough piece of paper and handed it to him. Lucian opened it. Inside was a arrow pierced in the heart drawn in red. He stared at it for a moment before folding the paper and throwing it into the trash. Then he picked up his laptop and reviewed the previous night's footage. Nothing. Not even a suspicious change in the recording time. Lucian watched the footage carefully. Suddenly, a faint smirk appeared on his face. “He isn't as smart as he thinks.” He looked at Kyle. “You can go.” Kyle bowed before leaving. His phone screen went on an unknown caller appears on it The unknown number remained on the screen. Lucian stared at it for a few seconds before answering. “Speak.” A deep, familiar voice came through. “Lucian.” His expression immediately hardened. “Godfather Dominic.” There was silence on the other end before Dominic finally spoke. “You've had enough time.” Lucian leaned back in his chair. “Enough time for what?” “Don't play games with me.” Dominic's voice carried a warning. “Get an heir and get rid of her and I expect you to stop wasting time.” Lucian's fingers tightened around the phone. “I know what I'm expected to do.” “Then act accordingly.” Lucian's eyes narrowed. Dominic continued. “Your father waited too long before making his move. I won't watch you repeat his mistakes. The sooner you secure your position, the better.” Lucian said nothing. “Do you understand me?” silence “i'll take take that as a yes” The call ended. Lucian slowly lowered the phone. For several seconds, he remained completely still. His gaze drifted toward the door. Aurelia. The little debtor who had somehow managed to disturb the carefully controlled world he had built around himself. He remembered her expression. The fear she tried to hide. The strange confidence that had appeared in her eyes. And, most importantly, the fact that she was clearly hiding something. Lucian's jaw tightened. Perhaps he had been giving her too much freedom. Perhaps his mistake had been allowing himself to become distracted. He stood. The softness in his expression disappeared. Whatever uncertainty had been there moments ago was gone. His face became cold again—blank, unreadable, merciless. The Lucian everyone feared had returned. He picked up his phone and called Kyle. “Kyle.” “Yes, boss?” “Find out everything about Aurelia.” Kyle hesitated. “Everything?” “Everything.” His voice dropped dangerously low. “Her past. Her secrets. Everyone she's contacted since arriving here.” “Yes, boss.” The call ended. Lucian stood alone in the room. A faint, unsettling smile appeared on his face. Aurelia thought she had finally figured out how to play his game. She was wrong. Because he had just decided to stop playing hers TBC......
