Ch7:Why do I care?

It was very late at night.Adrian was laying on his bed, restless, thinking about what he has done.
Suddenly a thought came to his mind. Why was he caring so much about a girl who he can't seem to tolerate until a few days ago.
Was he in love?
No it is not possible. He can never fall in love.
The next morning when he woke up, he thought of talking to Ben on phone. He called Ben. Ben picked up.
When he said that he wants to talk.Ben said he is not going to school so, he can come at the hospital.
He reached the hospital and rushed to Ben.
"What do you want to talk about?"
"Yesterday aunty was telling me she was in a hospital before.... Do you know why she was in a hospital?"
"You will get to know in the right time ",
Ben walked away.
A nurse came. She asked whether anybody wants to see Selena now, she regained her consciousness.
Ben was nowhere to be seen so Adrian decided to go himself.
In the well lit hospital room, Selena was laying on the bed with her eyes closed.Her head and hands were wrapped with Bandages. On hearing the sound of the opening door, She opened her blue eyes with depth of the oceans slowly and was surprised to see Adrian.
"Why are you here ..... go get out. I don't want to see your face.She was shaking with agitation."
Her face turned red in a moment with anger.
Adrian noticed for the first time how beautiful actually Selena was.
Adrian walked towards her and held her shoulders. He tried to calm her. She was crying like a baby.Adrian never expected to see that bold, smart girl in this condition. He wiped away her tears.
Ben entered the room but seeing the situation, he left.
Selena pushed Adrian.The nurse came.
"Time's up.. Go away."
Adrian met Marry and Lucas outside.
"How's She?
Unfortunately we are late."
Adrian nodded and said, "Better."
Doctor Michael was in charge of Selena.
Adrian decided to talk to him. So he first took permission from Lucas and Marry, and proceeded towards tve doctor's cabin. Doctor Michael was having breakfast.
"May I come in Doctor?"
"Oh... Yes."
"Sorry to bother you but..."
"No it's okay. Do you want to ask something? Then go on please.", and he showed the empty chairs infront of him.
Adrian sat and said,"Selena Cruz.... I want to know what challenges she is facing now? and when will be she discharged?"
Doctor asked, "and you are?"
"Her friend."
"Okay.... So she probably has some tragic past which is haunting her at the moment. The only solution is love and care.
She is better now. You can take her home tomorrow."
Adrian thanked him but wondered what this tragic past could be?
He went to Marry and Lucas and told them everything. They both looked at each other on the mention of the "tragic past".
Adrian asked,"I will take care of her."
Ben was standing aside, he shouted
"No thanks, we do not need your help."
Adrian ignored him and asked Lucas, "Did you go inside?"
"Yes.... but she doesn't want too see us.I don't think she will come home with us tomorrow."
Ben asked, "Then?"
Marry said, "Adrian, I know you have your parents at home. I want you to take care of Selena for a few days."
Adrian said, "But Aunty..."
"If you want to atone on paper... Do this for us." She held his hands.
"Okay Aunty."
Ben wanted to say something but nobody was interested in listening to him.
