"The Church is a lot of things," said Alessandro. "They have some very powerful, very bad people working for them."
It was the most serious he'd appeared since they were fighting.
"I'm assuming that you mean outside of the priests who are molesting kids and the vast network of money that has helped to cover it up," she replied.
"It's not just them. The Catholics, they're the originals, but everyone - all the, uh, the big religions have some part of what I mean when I say, 'The Church.' Not all of the witches that they burned weren't really witches. That doesn't mean that they were evil though."
"Says the man who drinks the blood of my coworkers," Eliza said.
"Look, look, the ones who are doing the burning alive of people - they're probably the ones that you should watch, yes?"
