Chapter Eight DAGONET WAS DIRECTED to writing materials in the library the following day. It seemed to be a general room used by all, unlike in his own home where he used his library for all his work and business meetings. Lord Vallentyn apparently had a study separate from the library in which he conducted his own business, leaving the library available for use by Lady Vallentyn and others. Dagonet settled himself at a table with the paper, ink and pen provided by the footman. The pen needed some sharpening, but as a knife was thoughtfully provided as well, this wasn’t a problem.
