61 I was nervous the next morning, agitated. I couldn’t decide what to wear and finally chose my fallback tank top, button-down shirt, and jeans. At the last minute I added my cowboy boots, even though it was too warm for them. My first half hour at the office, I glanced up every time a car parked on the street, but eventually I settled down. Like Roger, I’d lost some ground on other cases the past couple of weeks and was still playing catch-up. So when Addy knocked on my screen door, I nearly flipped my rolling chair rushing to get up.
