Unfortunately, Jack was her classmate. They both took chemistry together, but he never paid any attention to her. Today was different. It is as if he was stalking prey, waiting for the perfect time to make his move. She could barely pay attention to what the teacher was saying due to the tension in the air being so thick it made breathing hard.
When the bell rang, she bolted out of her seat, practically running towards the door. Breathing a sigh of relief that she made it out of the room, made it out still saine, still somewhat composed.
Jack's scene invaded all of her body, her brain, making it hard to be in the same room as him, and now she was free and able to breathe clean air.
That relief was short lived as she felt a hand slithering around her forearm. As she looks up to see who has taken a hold of her, she is met with stormy blue eyes. It’s as if she’s looking at an ocean, with waves crashing all around her. She could see Jack wasn’t happy, but why? She was staying away, she was content not being with him, and if he wanted, she would never mention they were mates to anyone.
As they stood there looking eye to eye, he finally spoke.
“Why wasn’t I able to tell you were a wolf before?” Jack said with rage and confusion evident in his voice.
“I didn’t know, and I’m not sure why. I don’t know anything.” Eliza said quietly.
