“No. Neither of us wants anything too serious. I've been married and divorced twice. He's not looking for a wife. We're just having a good time together, so don't expect an invitation to a wedding.”
“You know what they say about never saying? Just remember that. You could fall in love with this man, and I've heard that God loves thirds.”
“Or three misses and you're out.”
“That's nonsense. You're too young to be that pessimistic.” She shrugged.
“It's not for him, even if I was ready to jump into the deep end again. He seems to enjoy his freedom too much.”
Richard smirked. “That's what all men say until they meet the right woman. I thought about becoming a priest before I met my wife. I changed my mind when I realized I couldn't live without her. I have no excuse.”
