I studied that weekend. I worked two shifts at the coffee shop. I barely screwed up. I thwarted an armed robbery. Sort of. I mean, it was a robbery, but the “arm” was a water gun. I also rescued yet another kitten from up a tree. I wondered why kittens hadn’t evolved ways to climb down trees if they so easily made their way up them. Stupid kittens. Oh, and I didn’t even get any press, owing to the fact that it was late and no one saw me, and if the kittens or the thwarted robber were talking, it didn’t make it onto the ten o’clock news.
