Chapter 8 When it rains, it pours—and the deluge was fast approaching. But first, I was approaching. Todd that is. It was later in the evening, though, technically, very nearly early in the morning. I’d dropped the costume off at the store. I was already in my undies and crawling into bed. “Where were you?” he asked from his side of the room, his voice sounding drowsy, eyes barely opened. “Studying,” I lied. “In the middle of the night?
