4.8 [This chapter is a flashback] In botany, flowers produce fragrances to help attract pollinators. No flowers emit the same fragrance. As some rely on one particular type of an insect for pollination so their scent was very specifically aimed at attracting that insect. In regards to that, not all flower emits sweet-smelling odors. Some were downright awful that some scent could even be similar to rotting flesh. This was quite similar to how the underground people find their mates. Clans could only attract/be attracted to a specific member of another clan. For the Royal Family, it was important to marry their mate clan. But a natural disaster occurred many years ago that led to the clans’ sudden extinction. The Royal Family would soon fall to this tragic fate if not for the surface
