CHAPTER 21 The bed shifted beneath Kaspian as Brygida moved, still holding his hand. Two soft footfalls creaked on the floor, and she urged him to rise. He wanted to thank her for leading him to the dining hall, or perhaps joke that he’d never been great with directions, but everything he wanted to say only felt like it would make her feel worse. And that was the last thing he wanted. He followed her lead, rising from the bed, and let her guide him by the hand wherever she wanted.
