CHAPTER 11 Brygida froze, staring at the loamy mud between her and Nina. The wind howled through the night-cloaked trees. Light from the windows of the cottage silhouetted Nina, casting her face in shadow. “You… saw Kaspian kill her?” Freeing her arms from her green cloak, Nina approached her and took her hand, meeting her gaze with tenderness.
