With a grim smile, Dariusz clapped him on the shoulder. “See that you do, Son-in-law.” Dariusz shouldered his way past him.
Narrowing his eyes, Kaspian opened his mouth to reply, but Tata spoke first. “You’d do better not to incite his wrath. He has powerful allies.” Tata’s gaze was hooded as he regarded Kaspian.
Would Tata really bend to Dariusz, for gold?
Kaspian looked away. He couldn’t bear to meet his own father’s eyes. Only a day had passed, and Tata was already looking to form new alliances, arrange another marriage for him.
