Chapter2

It took her some time to realize that she might have just made a costly mistake. Shocked, she sat up immediately and turned to see the other side of the bed, but there was no one there. What just happened, though? She thought as she tried to convince herself that everything in her memory was true. How and where was she going to search for him if she wanted to see him? She thought as she sighted a stain on the bedspread that was on the bed. That was a sign that she had just lost her precious virginity. Taking a deep breath, she opened the window very well to welcome the natural air that was longing to rush in through the hotel window. Ethan! That name came fresh to her memory. He had said his name was Ethan. She could never forget. She placed both hands on her face as she closed her eyes for some time. She had just had a one-night stand. But why does it feel so different? Wasn't it supposed to be simple? Why did she still feel that attraction towards this person? It felt as though he should come back and have her all to himself. She still wanted him. Badly! She tried to get off the bed, but immediately her feet touched the room floor. She felt something beneath her feet, so she took her feet up to see and then spotted a small piece of paper. She picked it up and froze. It was actually a passport photograph. Ethan! He was the one! Her eyes glittered with hope as she got off the bed and rushed into the bathroom to clean up. After that, she came out with a white towel wrapped around her waist and sat on the bed. She was obviously bored, but the moment she turned her head, a smile appeared on her face as she spotted something that looked like a letter. Had he dropped a letter for her? Did he hope to see her again? She thought, and the moment she lifted it up, she saw stacks of cash. What was the stack of cash for? She thought about it and read the letter. She read, “Do not look for me! We are not of the same class. That money is yours, from me. Bye!” Selene froze. What does he mean, though? They had beautiful times. She thought as she tried to control her thoughts. Pissed, she stood up and got dressed. Holding the passport photograph, the money, and the letter in her cloth pocket, she left the hotel room and managed to find her way back home. When she got to the middle-class parts of the pack that she called home at that point in her life, she stopped for a moment before going into her house. "I have been looking for you, Selene. I hope you are well." Sia rushed towards her, hugging her; she had gone missing for days. "I'm sorry. I can't explain." Selene replied as she sat on her couch. It was in a well-furnished apartment, but the werewolves there were clearly middle-class, and it was very different from where she had slept the night before. The interior of the house was simple but clean and showed that there were valuable things in there. Sia was another werewolf she lived with. She had a history with Sia. Sia, her savior, looked at her, feeling very thankful that she hadn't lost her one and only best friend. She had to take in that feeling of breath. "I wonder what can't be explained. Either way, I made breakfast, and I know you are famished. So now go have a cool bath and come join me in the dining room. Without wanting to stress Sia further, Selene did as she was told, and soon she walked into the dining room with a fresh cloth on. Sitting in her free white gown, she watched Sia dish food for the both of them. She was acting like a sister who thought she had lost her twin, but thank goodness it was just a thought. They ate, and soon they were in the sitting room, chilling while watching a movie they had been following up on for a while. "I had a one-night stand." Selene confessed to her best friend from the other side of the couch." Sia froze. One-night stand? Was that statement even in existence? She thought in a frozen state. It took her a while to be able to come back to herself. "What do you mean, girl?" "I'm serious." "No, you can't be. Do you know what that means?" She asked her as worry sipped into her blood. "I guess I do, but I still feel like I want more of him," she continued. "More of him? Well, that's not a one-night stand, then. Maybe he's a lover." "I don't know him. I don't even know where he lives. He's a stranger, but the feeling is different." "Where did you guys meet?" "At the field. In the woods." "Last night was the full moon. I told you to come home earlier. Are you sure you weren't mated?" "I don't know where it is, but I just feel like I want more, but I think it's different for him," she replied, feeling sad. "Girl, you are tripping. Chill. I think it's just a fling. There's nothing serious there. Dada asked of you." "What does he want?" "I have no idea, but how do you intend to tell him about this? You know he likes you." "Well, I don't," Selene replied to Sia as they kept watching television. Alpha Ethan sat on his office chair in his study room as he recalled last night's incident. His body moved, and it was evident that he still craved the body he touched the night before, but there was no way to find her. His mother had warned him about leaving the pack that day, but he had not listened. Was this the reason?
