Matteo Rossi: After dropping Kyra off at home, I headed straight to the agency. Upon arriving, I went up to my office, where I sat at my desk, lost in thoughts about the kiss we shared. I remembered her soft lips, the little hand I held at the traffic light when she was scared, and the scent that has become my favorite. This daydream was interrupted by Nate, who entered the room with a curious smile. — And what's this silly smile? — he asked, playfully. — I’m not smiling like that — I defended myself, feeling a bit shy. — Am I? — You are. And there's only one person who can make you smile like that: Kyra. So, tell me, what happened after I left? — he pressed, eyes sparkling with curiosity. — I went to lunch with her — I replied, trying to sound casual. — And how was it? — Nate asked, his eyes almost bulging with anticipation. He seemed like an old gossip eager for some new scoop. — We talked a lot, laughed a lot, and... we kissed — I whispered, embarrassed, as if I were revealing a secret. — Boring... WHAT? My God, Matteo, you really don't waste any time! And then, what else happened? — It was clear we were acting like two teenagers swapping confidences. — She went home and, to be honest, I wanted to kiss her even more — I confessed, feeling my face heat up. — You’re completely smitten with her — Nate teased. — It’s not that! It’s just attraction. As soon as I get what I want, this will pass — I replied, with a dismissive tone. — I see... But be careful not to fall in love — he provoked, with a mischievous smile. — I will never fall in love — I asserted, trying to believe my own words. — Those who say that are the first to fall — Nate retorted, with a meaningful look. — But that won’t happen to me — I held my ground. — If you say so... So, what do you think about going to a nightclub tonight? — he suggested, quickly changing the subject. — Let’s go! I need a drink and good company — I agreed, with a renewed smile. The rest of the day passed quietly, except for the little devil called Kyra, who didn't leave my thoughts. ☆ Now it was just Nate and me at the nightclub, only a few minutes after we arrived. We hurried to the bar, eager for a drink. — What do you want? — asked the bartender, looking at us. — I’ll have a whiskey — I requested firmly. — I’ll have the same — Nate confirmed. It didn’t take long, and our drinks arrived, ready to accompany us through the night. — Man, there are a lot of beautiful women here — Nate said, mesmerized by the girls dancing around the illuminated environment. — True, today we’ll do well — I agreed, analyzing the place. While I ordered another shot, my attention was drawn to the movement around me, waiting for an opportunity. Then my eyes were attracted by a familiar figure. No way she’s here. Or I’ve drunk too much and I’m going crazy. I got up, deciding to approach that person who was dancing carefree. As I approached, I placed my hands on her waist, and she immediately turned to me. Our bodies collided awkwardly, and, being so close, she gently bumped against my chest. She took a deep breath and lifted her head, due to the height difference between us. — Matteo — she said, with a sparkle in her eyes that instantly made me electrified.
