That was the last time Luther and I talked since four days had passed. I had gone through over and over the words I had spoken to him and did regret some of it. But, there’s nothing I could do to take it back. So, I had already set in my mind that he had given up and that would be the last time we’d see each other. And yet again, there’s that tiny part of me, more likely my heart, that wanted to keep hoping that he’s taking some time to process it all and he’d come back to me as always. No, I should be squashing that hope, but why should I anyway? Ugh, I didn’t know what to follow. To distract myself, I focused on preparing for tomorrow’s opening of classes.
