Without saying a word, I went in and closed the door. Instead of Luther’s office, a white room with three desks occupied by men who were staring curiously at me was what welcomed me. Luther opened another door and I followed him, again closing the door after I entered. The spacious room was partially dark with the black interior and furniture, but the yellow lighting and the subtle touch of gold everywhere gave it a stunning glow. But, what captured my interest was the vast painting behind his executive desk and chair. It was a black canvas that had some crisscrossed lines pointing everywhere and the light above it illuminated it, giving it a soft sparkle of gold dust. It was breathtakingly beautiful.
