CHAPTER 5

Eva's POV

Yesterday, my remaining day was ruined by the unholy announcement, and unlike that stupid man,I was hell depressed to find my glass half empty.

After coming from my office Sarah put all her efforts to convince me to go party with her, because my sister thinks that it's a huge moment to celebrate. For her it was a successful achievement which needed to be celebrated, but truth to be told I was so disheartened as I really did not expected it to be a tie, which is by the way means a beginning of another race. It's as if a sword hanging over my neck ... So, how am I suppose to go out and celebrate carefree, when a major battle is yet to be fought? I somehow tactfully avoided her party plan as in reality, I was never interested to jump in on dark room in the rhythm of high pitched throbbing music, surrounded by drunk and wasted people.

Not a fan !

Yeah.. I know that Sarah thinks that in my twenties, I have started acting like an old hag and she sometimes really sound worried for me. And so, due to that she always try her best to force her 'so called ' fun life upon me. she thinks that someday I will act like a normal person but .... I AM A NORMAL PERSON.

If everything would have gone as per my expectation yesterday and if I had won it alone. And if there wouldn't have been a Tie. I might have agreed to her plan for her satisfaction and would have kept her proposal of party.

I know she feels disappointed on me because of my several denial, but I have always made her understand that this is not what I like.

Over the years, she has many a times insisted me to date a guy. And for that, she had many times fixed dates with her hot model friends, So that I might fall in love. But... Ta.. Da.. here I am single and proud.

It is not that I am a virgin and I have never had a boyfriend before, But I think my luck is kinda short when it comes to a boy or a Boy-Friend. For an instance in my college, I had a boyfriend whom I loved with all my heart, but that asshole dumped me within six months for some other b***h.

Then I got it from my best friend Harry. He was my pal, my buddy, but look !! he too applaudingly ditched me and fled away. Hence, I am not interested to get ditched and played again in my life. And SO ..... I say big NO to Love or a Boy- Friend. And who the hell says that I'm loveless, Where I have an absolutely irritating yet awesomely sweet sister by my side, and that just really works well for me .

Its a new day today and I have already planned certain things back in my head for the next competition and I can't wait to discuss it with my team.

I'm driving my way towards my office. I don't usually drive as it's mostly done by my driver Ted, but unfortunately he couldn't make up today because he had to take his granddaughter to a theme park.... problem for me but fine.

Reaching near my office building I quickly parked my car perfectly into to the open parking lot allotted for my car, and removed my car keys keeping it safely in my coats pocket. I gently lifted my latte pack from my dashboard which is waiting for me to take a sip of it, when my phone buzzed in my pocket.

I removed it from my pocket to check the name displayed on the screen.

'Sarah '

I received the phone and brought it to my ear .

" Hey Ev !! You reached office?" Inquired Sarah.

"Mm...hm..Just now"

" I'm just checking on you ."

" I know that 'Mom'..." I said sarcastically emphasizing the word 'Mom'.

"...but for God's sake I'm grown up now. There is no need to check on me every now and then." I pleaded

tucking my phone between my ear and shoulder and picking up my office bag, than closing the door with my elbow. I started to walk towards my building wing somehow adjusting my latte and my office bag, while talking on the phone.

It was just 9 in the morning but it was too sunny then the other days which was forcing me to look down.

"Are you taking your meds properly sissy? Cuz last night I am sure that you haven't." I complained.

" EeeeYeaaah.. I kind of missed it. " Sarah sounded guilty.

" forgetting your meds is so not an option .You know that, right?? " I scolded.

Two years ago We found that Sarah has a brain tumor which causes her tremendous, unbearable headache and for which she has to religiously take her meds to keep the trouble abay.

While talking, keeping my eyes on the ground and walking at the same time, suddenly I was obstructed by two feet in front of me. I Shifted a little to my right trying to take my step ahead, but instead of letting me pass by the man too shifted along with me and stood right in front of me obstructing my way. Unable to move ahead I shifted to my left, but again he obstructed my way by doing the same. I understood that whatever was going on, it was on purpose to bug me, which also forced me to lift my chin up and look at the i***t who was doing it on purpose.

And the moment my eyes caught the fellows face.

" YOU !! ??? " I yelled bitterly being shocked.

Zack's POV

" Sir we have reached your office" My drivers knocked me out of my thoughts. Thinking about her all along I didn't realized when I reached my office .

Stepping out of my car I started to head my way towards my building wing and suddenly my breath got hitched out of surprise, to spot HER .

I couldn't believe my eyes. I blinked a several times and jerked my head to shake myself out from my imagination. I thought that it was an after effect of my thoughts about her, but No... it was not my imagination. It was really HER.

I was a few feets away from her when I spotted her. She was busy talking over her phone and was loaded with her stuffs and did not noticed me coming as she was looking down.

A mischievous idea struck my head at once. I quickly walked up to her and just stood before her like a rock.

Being obstructed she was trying to make her way ahead, but poor her, little did she know that it was my little mischief plan to bug her, and importantly to see her eyes roll back for my satisfaction.

She again tried to make the way ahead but I stopped her again by standing on her way, and as I had planned it just worked as expected.

Feeling highly pissed by this obstruction, Eva took a sharp sip of air of irritation and lifted her chins up to meet my smiling eyes.

" YOU !!??? " she yelled.

" My day couldn't have started any better." " Hey Gorgeous!!" I winked at her wearing a smirk.

" What are You doing here ??" She barked. " -Wait... are you stalking me ??" she suspected.

" Hey, I am a nice guy. I won't do that but it does sounds a good idea to stalk you, and It'll be My favorite thing to watch you all day." I said jokingly but somewhere meaning my every word .

She narrowed her eyes whispering " Pervert."

" And by the way. I can too ask you the same question. What are you doing here?? are you secretly stalking me, Huh ?? "

I naughtily wriggled my brows.

" WOAH . HO. Stalk You ??... NEVER ... Now get out of my way, I have a office to go. " she dismissed me and shifted herself and walked over past me.

" Hey !! Evi " I called making her halt again.

"WHAT did you just call me??" She asked in disbelief of what she just heard.

" Evi .. that's a cute name isn't it ?? G6rom now on, I will call you by this name 'EVI'. " purposely emphasizing the word Evi and as expected she did it again. She rolled her eyes and I watched her do that and enjoyed every nano seconds of it like it was happening in a slow mo.

" Arrrghhh.." she groaned as she clearly did not like me playing with her name.

" I would prefer you only call me Ms. Blue . Only. Miss Blue.. okay ??" she said and stomped off and got into the A wing, swinging her hips, while I relished the site of her sexy ass .

" Wing A it is. great !" I murmured to myself and internally noted it in my head.

I was danm surprised to find her here, at the same compound where my office is. And couldn't control cursing myself, that how come I didn't see her here before. The place where we both have our offices.
