When Sara reached her cabin, the floor was eerily quiet. She glanced around but saw no one. Confused, she called Arav, who answered immediately. “Hello, honey. Are you missing me already?” he teased. “Arav,” Sara said nervously, “I just got to my cabin, but no one’s here. Is there a meeting I’m unaware of?” Arav turned to Anna. “Is the designing team in a meeting?” “Yes, sir. They’re in the conference hall,” Anna replied. Hearing this, Sara became even more anxious. “Arav, is it really happening right now? I feel so nervous,” she admitted. “Honey, come upstairs. I’ll take care of everything,” Arav reassured her. Sara nodded and headed to the conference hall. When she arrived, Anna was waiting to escort her. “Excuse me, Charles,” Anna said as they entered. “Sorry for the delay. Sara and I went out for lunch, and we’re running a bit late.” She gave Charles a meaningful look. Charles caught on quickly. “No problem, Anna,” he said with a smile. “Sara, please take a seat.” --- Meanwhile, back in his office, Arav asked Anna, “Do we have any meetings scheduled this afternoon?” Anna checked her phone. “There was one with a client, but it’s been canceled. You’re free for the afternoon.” Arav’s eyes lit up as he strolled toward the conference hall. Peter and Anna exchanged puzzled glances before following him. “Boss, are we attending the designing team’s meeting?” Anna asked. “Of course,” Arav replied with a sly smile. “They’re part of the company, aren’t they?” Anna shook her head, understanding her boss’s true intentions. When they entered the conference hall, the room fell silent. Sam, who was presenting, froze mid-sentence. One by one, the team members stood up, greeting their rarely-seen CEO. Charles hurried over. “How can I assist you, sir?” “Relax,” Arav said. “I just came to observe. Continue your meeting.” He took a seat—directly next to Sara. Already nervous, Sara broke into a cold sweat. Arav leaned back casually, thoroughly enjoying her discomfort. --- The meeting resumed, though the room remained tense under Arav’s watchful gaze. Sam stumbled through his presentation, finally sitting down with a sigh of relief. “Does anyone have questions?” Charles asked. The room stayed silent, with no one daring to speak in Arav’s presence. Arav, noticing Sara avoiding his gaze, suppressed a smirk. When Charles wrapped up the meeting hastily, Arav raised an eyebrow. “That’s it?” he asked coldly. Charles fumbled for a response. Anna stood frozen, unsure how to salvage the situation, while Peter thought to himself, Everyone’s a pawn in Boss’s love drama today. Breaking the silence, Arav said, “Let’s have everyone introduce themselves. I’d like to know my team better.” The room collectively sighed, but no one dared protest. Elena went first, followed by others, each nervously introducing themselves. Finally, it was Sara’s turn. “I’m Sara, a junior designing engineer,” she said simply. “That’s it?” Arav asked, raising an eyebrow. Knowing he was teasing her, Sara forced a polite smile and gave a brief overview of her certifications before quickly sitting down. Inside, she cursed him a hundred times. --- After the introductions, Arav stood. “It was nice meeting you all. Keep up the great work,” he said. Then, turning to Anna, he added, “Arrange some snacks and beverages for the team.” The room erupted in thanks. Back on the third floor, the team found pizza and cold coffee waiting for them—a surprise treat from their CEO. Sara, Sam, and Joe gathered in her cabin, enjoying the gesture. Sara gave her pizza to the overexcited duo, smiling at their happiness. The internal forum buzzed with posts about the CEO’s unexpected visit and treat, overshadowing the earlier gossip about Sara and Edwin. --- Later, Anna came to escort Sara, hoping to avoid further drama. As Sara said goodbye to Sam and Joe, Edwin appeared. “Hey, Anna. Why are you here? Sara and I planned to grab coffee,” Edwin said casually, glancing at Sara. “I’m sorry, Edwin,” Sara replied. “Anna and I have important work to finish.” Anna stepped in, crossing her arms. “Edwin, why don’t you flirt with that girl who’s always following you? My friend isn’t your type.” She grabbed Sara’s hand and led her to the exclusive elevator. Edwin blocked the doors and stepped in, grinning. “The elevator’s exclusive for the CEO team? Well, Sara’s here, so I guess I qualify now.” Anna rolled her eyes. “From today, you’re my new friend. Let’s go teach you a lesson.” Edwin, noticing the elevator heading to the 36th floor, grew nervous. “Why are we going up instead of to the parking lot?” “To introduce you to Arav,” Anna replied with a smirk. Edwin panicked and exited on the next floor, prompting Anna to shout after him, “Don’t mess with us again!” Sara and Anna burst into laughter as the elevator continued upward. --- When they arrived at Arav’s office, Sara stormed in, glaring at him. “Hello, honey. How was your day?” Arav asked, already knowing the answer. Sara threw her bag at him. “You’re unbelievable! Why did you embarrass me like that during the meeting?” Arav leaned back, amused. “Embarrass you? I was just getting to know my team.” Sara, fuming, leaned over his chair, her hands on his desk. “You’re impossible, Arav!” He laughed, pulling her closer. Losing her balance, she fell onto his lap. “Arav!” she exclaimed, blushing furiously. Taking advantage of the moment, Arav reclined his chair, making her lie completely on him. Her embarrassment deepened as he whispered, “You’re so cute when you’re mad.” Before she could retort, his lips captured hers in a deep, passionate kiss. Sara, despite herself, responded, her anger melting away. Breaking the kiss, Arav grinned. “I can’t control myself anymore.” Scooping her into his arms, he carried her to the penthouse. --- Aunt July, seeing them enter, turned away with a knowing smile. In the bedroom, Arav gently placed Sara on the bed. “Now,” he teased, “what was it you wanted to tell me?” Sara blushed. “You’re a bully, Arav.” Laughing, he leaned in. “Then let me bully you some more.” As he began to undress her, his hands exploring her body, Sara let herself relax. For the first time, she fully embraced the intimacy, feeling a warmth and joy she never thought possible. Looking into Arav’s eyes, she whispered, “I want this… only with you.” His response was a tender kiss, followed by the promise of a love that would leave both of them breathless.
