Arav stared at the internal forum post showing Sara laughing with Sam and Joe. Her carefree smile was mesmerizing, but the sight of her with other men triggered a possessive storm inside him. He couldn’t sit still.
Anna, who had also seen the post, didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at the caption: Coffee with the best design of our designing team. She nervously glanced at Arav, whose cold gaze seemed ready to burn the building down.
Before she could call Sara, she spotted her arriving on the 36th floor and heading to the penthouse staircase. Relieved, Anna quickly informed Arav, “Boss, she’s here. She just went upstairs.”
Without wasting a second, Arav stormed to the penthouse, leaving Anna and Peter sighing in relief.
---
When Arav entered the penthouse, he heard the faint sound of running water from the bathroom. Without hesitation, he opened the door.
“Bang!”
Sara, startled, jumped in the shower, clutching herself. “Arav!” she exclaimed in shock. But before she could say more, he pressed her against the wall, his lips capturing hers in a deep, fiery kiss.
Arav’s hands roamed over her wet, trembling body. Sara, caught off guard, couldn’t even breathe at first. She clung to his shirt for support, her shivering body betraying her emotions.
Arav, overwhelmed by his emotions, lifted her effortlessly and placed her in the bathtub. Discarding his already wet suit, he joined her, his tall frame looming over her.
As he leaned in again, a sudden realization struck him. He froze, pulling back to look at Sara, who had her eyes tightly shut. Guilt washed over him as he whispered, “I’m sorry, Sara.”
Sara slowly opened her eyes and saw the remorse in his expression. Understanding that he had acted impulsively, she softly replied, “It’s okay.”
Arav hesitated for a moment. “Are you… okay with me continuing?” he asked, his voice gentle yet unsure.
Her face flushed, and though she didn’t reply, the faint nod of her head gave him the answer he needed.
Unable to resist her any longer, he leaned down and kissed her tenderly, this time with more care. His lips trailed from her face to her neck, then lower, leaving her breathless. Though she felt a slight pain, she held onto him tightly, trusting him completely.
After what felt like an eternity, Arav finally came to his senses. Noticing Sara’s exhaustion, he gently cleaned them both and carried her to the bed.
---
Sara, too tired to move, drifted into a deep sleep. Arav changed into his pajamas, then dried her wet hair and dressed her in a soft nightgown.
As he sat beside her, he noticed her trembling slightly in her sleep. Guilt crept in again. Taking some soothing ointment, he carefully applied it to her sensitive areas, vowing to be more mindful in the future.
Aunt July called them for dinner, but seeing Sara sound asleep, Arav went to eat alone. He returned with a glass of warm milk and gently woke her to drink it. Half-asleep, Sara sipped the milk before curling back into his arms.
Arav sat beside her with his laptop, working on some pending tasks. At some point, Sara, still sleeping, shifted closer to him, wrapping her arms around his waist. Smiling, Arav put the laptop aside, lay down, and held her until they both drifted off.

The first rays of dawn filtered into the room, waking Arav. He looked down to see Sara still hugging him tightly. He kissed her forehead, savoring the peaceful moment.
As the sunlight touched her face, Sara stirred, her sleepy eyes meeting his. “You’re awake already?” she murmured.
“Good morning, Sara,” he said, his voice soft as he kissed her lips.
Sara smiled before asking hesitantly, “Are you… mad at me for last night?”
Arav blinked in surprise. “Mad at you? No, Sara.” His voice softened further. “I was just a little jealous of those two.”
She smiled mischievously. “Seriously, you weren’t mad?”
He sighed. “Sara, I want you all to myself. That’s why I reacted the way I did.”
Hearing this, Sara leaned forward, placing his head against her chest. “Finally,” she thought. “Someone who truly cares about me and my feelings.”
Her phone buzzed, interrupting the moment. She rolled over to check the message, which was from Anna: Good morning, Sara! Don’t forget smudge-free lip shades to save my Boss from future embarrassments 😉.
Sara chuckled and looked at Arav, who raised an eyebrow. “What?” he asked.
“Nothing,” she replied with a teasing smile. “We’re getting late for work, Arav. Let’s get ready.”
Arav grinned. “It’s okay to be late. You’re still tired. Let’s rest a little longer.”
Sara shook her head. “No, come on, let’s go.”

Once they were refreshed and dressed, Arav emerged in a sharp grey and white suit, while Sara wore a formal pink outfit with her hair pinned halfway.
Arav’s eyes lit up as he saw her. Pulling her close, he teased, “Am I holding a pink flower?”
Blushing, Sara glanced at him, marveling at his tall, handsome figure.
“You skipped dinner last night,” Arav reminded her. “Let’s have a proper breakfast.” Without waiting, he scooped her up in his arms and carried her to the dining table.
Anna, who was waiting with his schedule, nearly dropped her tablet at the sight. Though Arav’s romantic side was becoming more familiar, she still couldn’t process the transformation in her Boss.
Sara, embarrassed, gave Anna a sheepish smile. “Good morning, Anna,” she said softly.
Anna blinked and quickly regained her composure. “Good morning to you both,” she replied before briefing Arav on his schedule and leaving to give them privacy.
As they sat down to eat, Arav couldn’t take his eyes off Sara. For the first time in years, his mornings felt complete.
